Why Arcane character ages and heights are difficult to pin down
Arcane gives the audience a strong sense of chronology without publishing a definitive age table for the entire cast. The opening episodes establish Vi, Powder, Mylo, Claggor, and Ekko as children. A substantial time skip then moves the story into the characters’ late teens and adulthood. That makes relative ages clear—Vi is older than Powder, for example—but it does not automatically establish an exact birthday for either sister.
The same distinction matters for height. The commonly repeated measurements are reported design-sheet figures, not frame-by-frame measurements taken from the animation. Animated series also use perspective and composition deliberately: a character may look taller in one shot because of camera angle, posture, boots, or staging. The numbers below are therefore most useful as reference points for the intended character designs, not as an immutable on-screen rule.
In practical terms, the safest wording is approximately, reported height, or design-sheet height. Claims that every character has a confirmed canonical birthday, or that the reported measurements remain identical in every finished scene, go beyond the available evidence.

Vi / Violet

Vi, whose given name is Violet, is Powder’s older sister and the protector of the group of Zaun children raised around Vander. Her age is a secondary estimate based on the series’ timeline rather than a published official birth date. The important canon fact is her position relative to Jinx: Vi is older, and she has understood herself as responsible for Powder since childhood.
That protective instinct becomes both Vi’s defining strength and one of the sources of the sisters’ conflict. After the warehouse tragedy separates them, Vi spends years believing Powder is lost. When they meet again, Vi is trying to recover her sister while Jinx has developed a radically different identity under Silco’s influence. Their relationship is therefore not simply a conventional sibling reunion; it is a struggle over memory, guilt, loyalty, and whether either sister can accept what the other has become.
Vi’s other major relationship is with Caitlyn. They begin as uneasy allies whose goals overlap, then become emotionally and romantically involved. Their bond is repeatedly tested by their different backgrounds and by their contrasting responses to violence, policing, and the Piltover-Zaun divide.

Powder is the name Jinx uses as a child, while Jinx is the identity she develops after the catastrophe that destroys Vander’s family unit. Her exact age is approximate, but the story consistently presents her as younger than Vi. The reported height places her at roughly 8 cm shorter than Vi, although the animated staging should not be treated as a precise scale chart.

Jayce is an inventor whose work with Hextech transforms his public position. The early-30s age description is an estimate, not a verified official age. His reported height places him among the taller adult human characters, close to Caitlyn and Sevika in the design references.

Jayce’s romantic relationship with Mel is inseparable from his political ascent. Their connection involves genuine intimacy, but it also exists inside Piltover’s ruling hierarchy. Ekko knew Powder when they were children in Zaun. The series makes their shared past important without supplying a reliable complete age for him. His reported height is about 168 cm, placing him between Jinx and Vi in the available design-sheet references.
