The three-show run at Dolby Live at Park MGM marked his return to full-blown performing after an approximately 18-month break focused on his health. Keith died on February 5, 2024, at age 62, after a battle with stomach cancer.
The claim about Toby Keith’s final shows is incorrect
The timing in the original claim does not hold up. Keith’s last announced and documented concerts were a three-show Las Vegas run in December 2023. His official website described the engagement as his return to performing, while his own announcement identified December 14 as the “third and final show” and said that no additional dates would be added.
That makes the most accurate description of his career ending: Toby Keith returned to the stage for three Las Vegas concerts in December 2023, then died on February 5, 2024.
Toby Keith’s final-concert chronology
| Date | Event | Location |
|---|---|---|
| December 10, 2023 | First performance of the Las Vegas run | Dolby Live at Park MGM, Las Vegas |
| December 11, 2023 | Second performance | Dolby Live at Park MGM, Las Vegas |
| December 14, 2023 | Third and final announced performance | Dolby Live at Park MGM, Las Vegas |
| February 5, 2024 | Keith died at age 62 | Surrounded by his family |
| February 6, 2024 | His death was publicly announced | Official statement |
The dates are supported by Keith’s official announcement and the Ticketmaster listing for the engagement. The December 14 concert is therefore best described as his final documented show, rather than a performance that happened in 2026 or shortly before the date of this article.

Why the Las Vegas performances mattered
The concerts represented Keith’s return to the stage after an approximately 18-month period in which he concentrated on his health. His official biography characterizes the December 2023 residency as his return to “full-blown performing.”
The first-show announcement described a roughly two-hour set built around major hits, including songs from Keith’s extensive run of No. 1 and Top 10 country singles. The performances were not presented as a new tour with a long schedule of future dates; they were a limited Las Vegas engagement, and Keith’s announcement explicitly said the December 14 show would be the final one in the run.
What Toby Keith performed at the final show
The December 14 setlist was a career-spanning selection rather than a program focused only on one album. It included early breakthroughs, later hits, patriotic material, barroom anthems, and songs from the final phase of his career.

Keith’s death came less than two months after the concerts
Keith died on February 5, 2024, approximately seven weeks after the December 14 performance. His official death announcement said that he passed peacefully the previous night surrounded by his family. The Associated Press reported that he was 62 and had been battling stomach cancer.
This timing may explain how a misleading version of the story can arise: his last shows were indeed relatively close to his death, but they were not two months before a current 2026 publication. They took place in December 2023, followed by his death in February 2024.

The safest wording is: Toby Keith’s final documented concert was the December 14, 2023, performance at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. It was the last date in the three-show run announced by Keith’s team and preserved in the Ticketmaster listing.
That wording is more precise than saying it was definitively the last time he ever sang in any setting, because public documentation cannot establish every private or informal performance. But for his publicly announced concert career, December 14, 2023, is the final documented date.
