Who hosts Got To Get Out?
Simu Liu hosts Got To Get Out. Hulu presents Liu as the show’s host and star, not as one of the 20 contestants. The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor oversees a competition built around cooperation, suspicion, strategy, and sudden physical escapes.
How the game works
The contestants share a house for 10 days. As long as they remain in the game, money accumulates on a clock, with the potential prize growing toward $1 million. The group can stay together and divide the final amount, but individual players also have the option of trying to reach the exit gate and claim the pot available at that moment.

An escape is not guaranteed to succeed. The remaining housemates can pursue the person making a run for the gate and try to prevent the escape. That setup makes the cast list especially important: the players must decide whom to trust, who might betray the group, and who has the athletic ability or strategic nerve to make a run for the money.
The contestants
Hulu’s synopsis establishes a cast of 20 contestants. Promotional coverage often describes the group as a mix of 10 familiar reality personalities and 10 newcomers, but the veteran-versus-rookie label is not perfectly consistent across sources. Several contestants have appeared on reality television before, even if they were promoted as part of the less-established side of the cast. The group is therefore best understood as a mix of recognizable reality-TV figures and newer or less-established competitors.
Recognizable reality-TV personalities
Spencer Pratt
Spencer Pratt is best known for The Hills, where his relationship with Heidi Montag made him a major reality-TV personality. He has also appeared on shows including I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity Big Brother, Marriage Boot Camp, and House of Villains. His established reality persona makes him one of the most immediately recognizable players in the house.
Readers who know Pratt primarily from The Hills can also look for The Hills DVD as a way to revisit his earlier reality-TV work; availability can vary by retailer and region.
Omarosa Manigault Newman
Omarosa Manigault Newman became widely known through The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice. She later appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and House of Villains. Her background in competitive reality television and her reputation for strategic conflict make her a natural fit for a game built around alliances and suspicion.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann
Kim Zolciak-Biermann is associated with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the spinoff Don’t Be Tardy…, Dancing With the Stars, and The Surreal Life. She joins the house with experience in ensemble reality formats, celebrity competitions, and the shifting personal alliances that come with them.
Val Chmerkovskiy
Val Chmerkovskiy is a professional dancer and two-time world champion best known to television audiences through Dancing with the Stars. His athleticism, coordination, and competitive background could be valuable in a format where a successful escape may depend on both timing and physical execution.
Rank #2
Susan Noles
Susan Noles is a television personality, former hair-and-makeup artist, and wedding officiant known to viewers from The Golden Bachelor. Her experience in a relationship-focused reality franchise gives her a different kind of reality-TV background from the cast members associated with celebrity competition shows.
Rashad Jennings
Rashad Jennings is a former professional football player who also competed on Dancing with the Stars. His professional sports career gives him significant athletic experience, while his reality-TV appearance means he is not entirely new to televised competition.
Demi Burnett
Demi Burnett is known from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise. She brings Bachelor-franchise experience to a game where social bonds may be as important as speed or strength.
Clare Crawley
Clare Crawley is a former hairstylist and television personality associated with The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and Bachelor Winter Games. Her experience in several versions of the franchise gives her substantial familiarity with alliance-building and high-pressure reality-TV environments.
Cynthia Bailey
Cynthia Bailey is a model, actress, and television personality known for The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She is one of the cast members with extensive experience navigating group dynamics on unscripted television.

Jill Ashlock is listed as a private investigator and content creator. She also previously appeared on Netflix’s Outlast. Some promotional materials place her closer to the less-established or “rookie” side of the cast, which illustrates why the veteran-versus-newcomer distinction should not be treated as a strict official division.
Rank #3
Newer and less-established contestants
Athena Suich
Athena Suich is a firefighter and CrossFit athlete from Marina, California. The cast information identifies no previous reality-show credit for her, making her one of the contestants entering the format without an established reality-TV profile.
Athena Vas
Athena Vas is a mathematician and content creator associated with The Bachelor: Greece. Because she has a prior reality-TV connection, her placement among the newer contestants reflects the flexible way promotional materials use the veteran-and-rookie description.
Lindsey Coffey
Lindsey Coffey is a model, environmental activist, and Miss Earth 2020. The cast guide lists no previous reality-show credit for her.
Nick Metzler
Nick Metzler is an award-winning game designer from Brooklyn, New York. His professional background may be particularly relevant in a competition that requires reading rules, predicting other players, and designing a successful route to the gate.
Rob Roman
Rob Roman is a police sergeant from Jersey City, New Jersey. He previously participated in Netflix’s Squid Game: The Challenge, so he has reality-competition experience even though some promotional descriptions group him with the newer side of the cast.
Shane Dougherty
Shane Dougherty is a former undefeated MMA champion and celebrity DJ. The cast information lists no previous reality-show credit for him.
Rank #4
Stein Retzlaff
Stein Retzlaff is an adventure producer from Olympic Valley, California. He is listed as having no prior reality-show credit and brings an adventure-oriented professional background to a contest centered on a physical escape.

Spoiler: who wins Got To Get Out?
The first season ends with two successful escapees: Cynthia Bailey and Stein Retzlaff. Bailey developed the exit strategy and enlisted Retzlaff to make the physical run. Retzlaff reached the gate with $312,060 in the pot, and he and Bailey split the money evenly, receiving $156,030 each.
Best Value
Clare Crawley and Jill Ashlock later left the game voluntarily. The remaining 16 contestants divided the remaining $687,940, which gave each of them $42,996.
The ending reinforces the central tension of the format: remaining loyal to the group can produce a shared payout, while a carefully planned escape can create a much larger individual—or two-person—share, provided the runners reach the gate.
