The apparent post was deleted, and later reporting challenged the claim. Complex described the alleged Entertainment Tonight report as having been taken down and cited reporting that the claim was not true. The Tab also covered the circulation and subsequent debunking of the allegation.
As the screenshot spread, reposts and entertainment commentary often presented the alleged removal as an established fact. But the underlying claim was not supported by the stronger available accounts.

NBC New York, republishing E! reporting, likewise said the couple were not kicked out and that their appearance lasted only a few seconds before they left. Complex also cited a source close to the situation who described Ye as a nominee and said the couple departed after walking the carpet.
