Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 premiered on FOX on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The completed U.S. season introduced four farmers whose lives span avocado and exotic-fruit agriculture, hay and cattle farming, row crops and law school, and cattle ranching with horse training.

Because Season 3 is a past season as of 2026, the most accurate way to describe it is as the 2025 edition—not a new 2026 premiere. Here is what to know about the four farmers, the season’s new host, its format changes, and how to check current viewing availability.

Who are the four farmers in Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3?

Season 3 continued the series’ central setup: several single women visit the farms, experience the demands and rhythms of rural life, and pursue romantic relationships with the farmers. But the four men at the center of this season represented markedly different versions of American agriculture.

  • Matt Warren: A first-generation avocado and exotic-fruit farmer in California.
  • Jay Woods: An Alabama hay and cattle farmer who returned to agriculture after a football injury.
  • John Sansone: A Missouri soy, corn, and wheat farmer who was also studying law in St. Louis.
  • Colton Hendricks: An Arkansas cattle rancher, horse trainer, and father of a young son.

Their backgrounds gave the season more range than a single ranching stereotype. One farmer worked with specialty fruit, another with livestock and hay, another balanced city-based legal studies with a multigenerational farm connection, and another was raising a child while running a cattle operation.

Matt Warren: avocado and exotic-fruit farmer

Age at the time of the Season 3 announcement: 30
Hometown: San Luis Obispo, California
Location at announcement: Morro Bay, California
Occupation: First-generation avocado and exotic-fruit farmer

Matt Warren’s agricultural operation included a 132-acre avocado and exotic-fruit farm in Morro Bay, along with another 70-acre farm in Visalia. That makes his profile distinct from the cattle-ranching image often associated with the series: his work centers on specialty crops and fruit production.

FOX described Warren as having left real-estate house flipping to help his brother and sister-in-law operate the family agricultural business after the deaths of his parents. His storyline therefore combined a career change with a strong family-responsibility theme. He was presented as family-oriented and interested in finding someone who could keep up with the practical demands of fruit farming.

Warren’s profile also highlights an important reality of farm life: the work is not simply a scenic backdrop for a dating show. It involves a family business, a specific crop operation, and the responsibilities that led him to change direction professionally.

Jay Woods: Alabama hay and cattle farmer

Age at the time of the Season 3 announcement: 25
Hometown and location: Florence, Alabama
Occupation: Hay and cattle farmer

Jay Woods farmed on a 515-acre hay-and-cattle operation in Florence, Alabama. His connection to rural life began with his grandfather’s horse farm, but his path to farming was shaped by an unexpected setback: a football injury ended his hopes of becoming a professional athlete.

Rather than leaving his rural background behind, Woods returned to it. FOX and Fox News described him as family-centered and looking for a confident, kind-hearted partner who would accept the realities of farm life. In his introduction, the ability to embrace that lifestyle was treated as a meaningful compatibility question—not merely an interest in country living.

Woods’ combination of hay production and cattle farming also means that his day-to-day work would involve both crop-related responsibilities and livestock care. The show’s premise places those practical demands alongside romance, making the question of whether a prospective partner can adapt to farm routines central to his story.

John Sansone: the “urban cowboy” balancing farming and law school

Age at the time of the Season 3 announcement: 25
Hometown and location: St. Louis, Missouri
Occupation and studies: Soy, corn, and wheat farmer; law student

John Sansone was associated with a 170-acre soy, corn, and wheat farm in rural Missouri, but he should not be described simply as a full-time Missouri farmer. His biography also identified him as a St. Louis resident studying for a law degree. That tension between urban life, professional study, and family agriculture was a defining part of his introduction.

FOX characterized Sansone as an “urban cowboy” who wanted to continue the farming legacy established by his grandfather and great-grandfather. His close relationship with his grandfather was also part of the profile, as were interests including fishing, woodland drives, and frog gigging.

Sansone’s storyline complicated the show’s usual rural-versus-city contrast. He was not presented as someone who had completely left city life or chosen only one identity. Instead, his connection to farming existed alongside legal education and life in St. Louis. That makes his central compatibility question different from the others: a potential partner would need to understand not only farm responsibilities, but also a future that may continue to move between rural and urban settings.

Colton Hendricks: Arkansas cattle rancher and horse trainer

Age at the time of the Season 3 announcement: 28
Hometown and location: Mena, Arkansas
Occupation: Cattle rancher and horse trainer

Colton Hendricks ran a 600-acre cattle farm in Mena, Arkansas. He was introduced as a recently divorced father of a two-year-old son, putting parenthood alongside romance and ranching at the center of his story.

FOX described Hendricks’ priorities as love, family, and ranching. He was looking for someone prepared to become part of an existing family as well as a ranching lifestyle. That distinction matters: dating Hendricks would involve understanding his responsibilities as a father and the practical demands of a cattle operation, not just deciding whether to relocate to a rural setting.

His work as a horse trainer added another dimension to the ranch profile. Along with cattle care and farm management, horses were part of the professional and lifestyle environment that prospective partners encountered.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley hosted Season 3

Season 3 introduced Kimberly Williams-Paisley as the U.S. version’s new host. She replaced the previous host and was described by FOX as an actor and author. Fox News also emphasized her connection to country culture through her marriage to musician Brad Paisley and her ability to relate to women adjusting to rural life.

Her role was especially relevant to a format built around translation between two worlds. The women are not simply choosing among romantic partners; they are also encountering unfamiliar work, family expectations, geography, and community life. Williams-Paisley’s country connection was part of the reason she was positioned as a fitting guide for that adjustment.

What changed in the Season 3 format?

The basic format remained familiar: each farmer met multiple single women, and the women spent time on the farms while developing romantic connections. Season 3 also promoted several group events away from the individual farm settings:

  • A speed-dating event in Alabama.
  • A country ball in Tennessee.
  • An overnight camping mixer in Texas.

The season also featured a family-focused twist. The finalists’ families were set to visit the farms and experience the rural environment firsthand. That changes the evaluation process from a one-way introduction—women learning about the farmer’s life—to a broader encounter involving the people and places that shape each farmer’s identity.

These events also underline the show’s recurring question: Can a relationship formed in a dating environment work within the practical, family-centered structure of farm life?

When did Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 premiere?

Season 3 premiered on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. It is therefore more accurate in 2026 to refer to the season as having premiered or aired in 2025, rather than saying that it is currently returning for Season 3.

Where can you watch or rewatch Season 3?

FOX’s Season 3 materials listed several viewing routes at the time of the announcement, including Hulu, Fox.com, Tubi, and on-demand access through participating television providers. Those options can change based on date, geography, subscription status, and licensing arrangements. For that reason, readers looking for where to watch Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 should check the current official FOX listing and confirm whether the desired episodes are available in their location.

Do not assume that every platform previously listed still carries every episode, or that availability is identical outside the United States. A television-provider login, subscription, advertising-supported access, or separate episode availability may apply depending on the service and market.

What this season does—and does not—establish

The announced biographies establish the farmers’ ages, locations, agricultural work, family backgrounds, and the format promoted for the season. They do not, by themselves, establish which farmer chose which partner, whether a particular relationship continued, or whether the season led to a marriage. Those outcomes should not be inferred from the introductory material.

What the profiles do show is a particularly varied group of agricultural identities:

Farmer Region Agricultural focus Distinctive context
Matt Warren Morro Bay and Visalia, California Avocados and exotic fruit Moved from real-estate house flipping to help operate a family agricultural business
Jay Woods Florence, Alabama Hay and cattle Returned to his rural roots after a football injury
John Sansone Rural Missouri and St. Louis Soy, corn, and wheat Balances a family-farm legacy with law school and city life
Colton Hendricks Mena, Arkansas Cattle and horses Recently divorced father and rancher

That range is the key reason Season 3 stands out within the format. “Farm life” is not one uniform experience: specialty-crop agriculture, livestock work, row-crop farming, ranching, parenting, family succession, and professional study all create different expectations for a relationship.
