Crunchyroll began its international rollout on the same date, with new episodes scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time. The season was announced alongside its first full trailer in February 2024, so it is no longer an upcoming release.
A March 30 recap episode, “Digression: Diablo’s Journal,” preceded the premiere. A separate trailer released in June 2024 promoted the second cour and revealed additional cast and theme-song information.
When did That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 premiere?
The Japanese television broadcast of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 began on April 5, 2024, at 11:30 p.m. Japan time. Crunchyroll scheduled international episodes for the same day at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time. [C001][C002][C006]
The timing can be confusing because Crunchyroll also released a recap episode before the new season. “Digression: Diablo’s Journal” arrived on March 30, 2024, but it was a review episode rather than Season 3’s first new installment. [C002][C003]

Which trailer confirmed the release date?
The headline’s “new trailer” primarily refers to the first full Season 3 trailer announced on February 20, 2024. That announcement confirmed the April 5 Japanese premiere and introduced ten additional cast members. [C003]
Crunchyroll later published the official trailer upload on March 28, 2024. That is a separate publication date from the February announcement and from the April 5 broadcast, so the three events should not be treated as one release. [C009]
The franchise also received a second-cour trailer and key visual on June 8, 2024. That later promotional video focused on the season’s continuing story, added more cast information, and announced the next opening and ending themes. [C004]
What is Season 3 about?

The other central storyline concerns Hinata Sakaguchi and the Holy Empire of Lubelius. Hinata receives a fabricated declaration of war attributed to Rimuru, setting up a confrontation that threatens to turn political misinformation into open conflict. The official premise makes clear that this is more than a straightforward battle arc: Rimuru must protect Tempest while dealing with religion, diplomacy, public perception, and the fragile relationship between human and monster societies. The February announcement introduced ten additional cast members connected with the season’s expanding political and military cast:

- Glenda Attley
- Grigori

Season 3 opening and ending songs
The second-cour trailer announced the opening theme “Renacer Serenade” by Momoiro Clover Z and the ending theme “Miracle soup” by MindaRyn. These were revealed as part of the June 8, 2024 second-cour promotional campaign rather than the original February release-date announcement. [C004]
