It is not easy to be a ballerina. Anyone who watched the movie Black Swan knows that. And if you read Natalie Portman’s interviews, you will know better. The actress lived as a ballerina for a few months before filming the movie, and then during the movie. It left her exhausted.
The rigorous regime of being a ballerina is something not many can handle. This documentary shows you exactly what it means to live as a ballerina.
It follows the journey of Weronika, a dedicated and young ballet dancer in Poland. For a period of six years, the documentary follows her life from a Warsaw Ballet School, to the greatest stages of the world.
She started her ballet career at 10, and always strived for excellence. Take a look at the path full of challenges. During the entire time, her private life, loneliness, and exhaustion, remain in the background.
