The House of Lancaster and House of York bought thought they have right to rule England. And the main cause for the war was the incompetent rule of Henry VI of England.
The War ended in August 1485 when Henry Tudor defeated Richard III at the battle of Bosworth. Yet Henry would never become king and founded the Tudor dynasty without the help of his mother, Margaret Beaufort.
