Are you interested in the latest in manufacturing technology? Do you want to know more about one of the world’s largest and most modern excavator factories? If so, then you’ll want to watch this amazing documentary about Sany’s factory in Lingang, China.
For half a billion euros, Sany has built one of the largest and most modern excavator factories in the world. 1600 specialists work tirelessly in the 1000 square meter production area equipped with high-tech machines of the latest generation. The factory boasts some of the most advanced technological features of any heavy manufacturing facility currently in operation.
Every ten minutes, a new high-tech monster rolls off the assembly line, as up to 250 tonnes of steel is worked by the latest generation of industrial robots. They are more precise, safer, and much more cost-effective in the long-run. The robots have even replaced twenty-four workers in the welding plant, completing the task in half the time while delivering higher precision and safety.
The crown jewel of the plant is Sany’s top-seller in the mid-range class, the excavator SY215, which is cheaper than any competitor model in Europe or the United States. And that’s not all – it features a blackbox that sends all of the recorded vehicle-data to the control centre in China in real-time, providing unparalleled insights into its operation.
The documentary showcases the incredible pressure that the specialists at the plant work under, particularly when it comes to the “marriage section” – where the twelve-tonne upper part has to be moved with millimetre precision onto the narrow slewing ring. The specialists in this section only have ten minutes to complete the task, surrounded by the deafening sounds and heavy swaying of the factory floor.
Sany is on a mission – to become the world leader in manufacturing of construction equipment – and with the enormous numbers of excavators being assembled in this state-of-the-art facility, it’s only a matter of time before that mission is accomplished.
Don’t miss this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the most impressive manufacturing facilities in the world – watch the Sany Excavator Factory documentary today.
