animation preservation ‘Looney Tunes’ Vanishes From Max Amid Ongoing Outcry to Release ‘Coyote vs. Acme’
The classic 1930–1969 Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts left U.S. Max on March 16, 2025, renewing anger over Warner Bros. Discovery’s shelving of the completed Coyote vs. Acme. The film later found a distributor and was scheduled for a U.S. theatrical release on August 28, 2026.
