The film crew went beyond just showing us images or conveying facts; they also brought their personal stories and emotions along on their journey. From satellite images of mass military parades to conversations with everyday citizens going about their business, VBS gives us an up close look at this mysterious nation.
What makes this documentary even more special is that it was filmed in secret – which speaks volumes about how difficult it is for outsiders to go in and out of North Korea. It not only serves as an incredible opportunity to learn more about this unique country but also highlights the bravery of those involved in making it possible.
