Zendaya has five older siblings: three sisters and two brothers. They are her half-siblings on her father’s side. Her father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, had them from an earlier relationship, and Zendaya is the only child he shares with her mother, Claire Stoermer. The names most often reported are Katianna, Annabella, Kaylee, Austin, and Julien.
How many siblings Zendaya has
British Vogue’s 2021 profile of Zendaya reports five half-siblings, three sisters and two brothers, and describes them as much older than she is. Biography.com, which lists the five by name, describes them the same way. Zendaya’s own sibling count is therefore five in the most recent coverage that addresses it.

One earlier source gives a different number. Vogue’s 2017 profile described four older half-siblings, two sisters and two brothers. The sources available for this article do not explain why the count changed between 2017 and 2021, so the most accurate reading is that five is the figure supported by later reporting and that the 2017 figure was not repeated afterward.
Who her siblings are
Biographical coverage names the five as shown below. Because the names come from biographical reporting rather than from statements by each sibling, treat the list as the commonly reported version.

British Vogue’s 2021 excerpt confirms the three-sisters-and-two-brothers breakdown but does not print all five names, so the names rest on the biographical reporting.
Half-siblings through her father
The distinction matters for reading family coverage. Zendaya’s five siblings are on Kazembe’s side of the family. Zendaya and her mother, Claire Stoermer, share no other children with Kazembe, so Zendaya is the only child the two of them had together. A Penguin Random House description of the children’s biography Who Is Zendaya? makes the same point, saying her father had five children before Zendaya was born.
Family life and the aunt role
British Vogue reports that one of her sisters works for Zendaya, that her brothers live nearby, and that the siblings’ children are close to her age. The profile also refers to her as “Auntie Daya.”
Zendaya spoke about the aunt role in the same interview, in October 2021:
“I like to think I’m the cool aunt, I had this whole situation the other day where my little niece had friends over. I’m like, ‘Do you want to hang out? Do you need a ride?’”
The quote is about one niece and her friends, not a statement about all five siblings or their families.

What the public record does not establish
The available coverage does not give the siblings’ exact ages, their full biographies, or their current occupations beyond the sister who works for Zendaya. We also did not find a statement from Zendaya that names all five siblings in her own words. Where a detail about a sibling is not in the sources above, it is not established here.
- Count: five older half-siblings, per British Vogue (2021) and Biography.com.
- Earlier count: four, per Vogue (2017), with no reason given for the change.
- Names: as listed by Biography.com, with Julien also covered by ELLE (2024).
- Relationship: all five are on her father’s side.
For the family’s wider context, the most useful sources are the 2021 British Vogue profile, which covers the siblings’ roles and children, and Biography.com’s family summary.
