Zendaya praised Tom Holland’s “calming presence” on set and said the UK feels like home in a January 2026 interview with the Daily Mirror. London and the UK: home, but not a permanent one
Her comments on Britain were the most personal part of the interview. “When I go to the UK, I don’t feel like a visitor any more,” she said. “I understand British slang, I get the culture, and I know a ‘nice cup of tea’ makes everything right.” She added: “It really feels like coming home, and I love the people.”
She was equally clear about the limits. She said the UK “can’t be a permanent home right now” because of filming commitments in the United States. These were statements about her situation in January 2026. They are not a report on where she lives today or on any change to her plans since then.

According to ¡Hola!, which also covered the interview, Zendaya said she enjoys British Indian food. She recalled eating curry with Holland and his family shortly before Christmas, a detail that puts her ties to Britain in everyday terms rather than only in terms of work.
Growing up in the industry
¡Hola! also reported her reflection on her childhood. Starting in the industry young, she said, meant she missed some ordinary teenage experiences. She credited her parents’ protectiveness for shaping how she handled that period. The comment fits with her broader point about privacy: the boundaries she describes were learned early.
