1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsZachary Levi’s most widely reported controversies center on a January 2023 post about Pfizer, his 2024 endorsements of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump, and a post after actor Gavin Creel’s death that raised the possibility of a COVID-vaccine connection. The episodes drew criticism, but they do not establish that vaccines caused Creel’s cancer or death, nor do reports of backlash amount to a comprehensive measure of professional consequences.
January 2023: Levi’s reply about Pfizer
In January 2023, a social-media user asked Levi, “Do you agree or not that Pfizer is a real danger to the world?” Variety reported that Levi replied, “Hardcore agree.” The Independent later recalled the exchange and noted that it stirred controversy because it was interpreted as anti-vaccine.
The wording matters: the question named Pfizer, and Levi’s two-word reply did not explain what he meant by “danger.” The exchange is evidence of what he answered in that context, not a detailed statement about every vaccine. Variety’s May 23, 2025 profile and The Independent’s September 29, 2024 report recount the exchange.
June 2024: He endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
On June 5, 2024, Levi endorsed independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a post on X. TheWrap reproduced his statement: “No candidate is perfect, but this man is the best we’ve had in a long time.” That endorsement came before Kennedy suspended his campaign and backed Donald Trump. TheWrap’s report on Levi’s Kennedy endorsement records the post and its date.

September 2024: He backed Trump after Kennedy suspended his campaign
After Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign in September 2024 and endorsed Trump, Levi appeared at a Michigan rally and endorsed Trump. The Independent reported that Levi described Kennedy as his first choice. He said he saw only two viable choices and believed Trump could act with support from Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard. That is Levi’s explanation of his decision, not an independently verified assessment of the candidates or what they would do.
In an interview with Megyn Kelly published as a transcript on October 29, 2024, Levi again discussed backing Kennedy and then Trump, saying he believed Kennedy understood concerns about health and industry. He also spoke about potential career consequences and his perception of Hollywood’s political culture. The Independent’s account of the rally and RealClearPolitics’ October 29 interview transcript provide the sequence and Levi’s remarks.

September 2024: His post after Gavin Creel’s death drew criticism
After Broadway actor Gavin Creel died of a rare cancer at age 48 in September 2024, Levi suggested in an Instagram post that COVID vaccines might have played a role. Variety reported that actor Laura Benanti criticized Levi’s suggestion during a podcast interview.
The reporting does not establish that a vaccine caused Creel’s cancer or death. The controversy was over Levi raising that possibility after Creel died, not proof of a medical connection. Variety’s profile describes the post and Benanti’s response.

What is known about professional fallout
Levi has described possible costs to his career, but his public accounts differ in scope and remain attributed to him. In February 2025, he told TheWrap his Trump endorsement felt more important than protecting his career: “I felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career.” In the same interview, he said jobs already in progress or planned had not been compromised as of that time. The Independent separately reported his remarks about weighing career risk.
In a May 23, 2025 Variety profile, Levi said his team had told him that some people preferred not to work with him because of his opinions, but he did not name them. Variety also quoted Chuck director and friend Robert Duncan McNeill distinguishing affection for Levi from agreement with his politics, and quoted director James Gunn saying he could not keep changing plans whenever an actor expressed a view he disagreed with. These are individual perspectives, not evidence of a unified Hollywood response or a complete accounting of employment effects.
