Yes. Yusuf / Cat Stevens cancelled his North American book tour after his visa arrived too late: he said it was delivered after the tour’s final scheduled date. The planned October 2025 appearances were in support of his memoir, Cat on the Road to Findout; the book’s release was not affected.
How the tour went from postponed to cancelled
On 29 September 2025, Yusuf / Cat Stevens announced that the U.S. and Canadian dates planned for October would not go ahead as scheduled. He said his team had waited months for visa approvals and had held out as long as it could, but there was no longer enough time to arrange the production logistics for the show. His postponement announcement described the tour as delayed, not yet officially cancelled.
The planned itinerary included a Philadelphia date on 2 October and a Toronto stop on 8 October, according to Exclaim! Those dates are examples, not a complete itinerary.
On 8 December 2025, he confirmed that the North American book tour was cancelled. In the official cancellation notice, he said the visa had finally been delivered after the last scheduled tour date had passed.

What happened to the memoir?
The tour was planned to support Cat on the Road to Findout. The cancellation was about the live appearances, not the book: Stevens said in September that the book itself would not be affected, and the Associated Press reported that its U.S. release was scheduled for 7 October 2025 and remained unaffected. What is—and is not—known about the visa delay
Stevens attributed the disruption to months of waiting for visa approvals and said the visa arrived only after the final scheduled date. The available announcements and reporting do not establish why processing took so long, what visa category was involved, or what specific administrative decision caused the delay. They also do not describe the visa as denied: Stevens said it was ultimately delivered.
The available sources do not confirm replacement dates or ticket-refund procedures. Anyone with a ticket should consult the original ticket seller or event organizer for current, event-specific information rather than assume a refund or rescheduling arrangement.
