Manga spoilers ahead: Yuji Itadori’s family history is tied to one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s major revelations. The story’s early family-flashback waypoint is Chapter 143, collected in Volume 17; the publisher’s short summary confirms a remembered family scene, but the relationship details must be read in the manga itself.
Who are Yuji Itadori’s parents?
Chapter 143, titled “もう一度” (“Once More”), is an important place to look for Yuji’s family history. Shueisha’s Volume 17 listing says that, after Yuta defeats Yuji and Yuji nears death, he recalls a family scene from the past. The volume’s contents include Chapter 143. Read Shonen Jump+’s Chapter 143 listing or consult Shueisha’s Volume 17 catalogue page.

Those catalogue descriptions establish that Yuji remembers a family scene; they do not spell out the scene’s full meaning. To identify the relationships and what the story reveals about Yuji’s parents, read the chapter’s panels rather than treating a brief publisher synopsis as a complete account.
Who is Yuji’s mother in Jujutsu Kaisen?
The question belongs to the manga’s family flashback, but a reliable explanation depends on the actual chapter, not just the publisher’s summary. The official Shonen Jump+ listing names and dates Chapter 143, while Shueisha’s Volume 17 page confirms its place in the volume and the surrounding memory context. Neither catalogue page, on its own, provides enough detail to establish every implication of the scene.

Keep two levels of interpretation separate as you read: relationships the manga explicitly identifies, and broader theories about lineage, motive, or symbolism that readers build from those facts. The latter should not be presented as confirmed canon unless the manga states it.
How is Yuji related to Sukuna?
Yuji’s connection to Sukuna is central to the series, but the official catalogue material cited here does not establish a family relationship between them. VIZ describes the story as a conflict involving Yuji, cursed spirits, and Sukuna; its Volume 30 synopsis frames the final battle as Itadori fighting Sukuna while the sorcerers try to separate Sukuna from Fushiguro. That conflict alone is not evidence that Yuji and Sukuna are relatives. VIZ’s Jujutsu Kaisen catalogue

When discussing a deeper family connection, distinguish what the manga directly says from interpretation. The family flashback is a significant clue in Yuji’s story, but a theory about its wider meaning is not the same thing as an explicitly stated relationship.

Shueisha’s official Chapter 143 listing is dated October 28, 2021, and Volume 17 includes the chapter. These are useful reference points if you want to follow the reveal in the source story. VIZ describes Jujutsu Kaisen as a manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018 and lists its manga volumes separately from anime-related guides and products. VIZ’s series catalogue

This explanation concerns manga continuity. Do not assume a particular anime episode covers the same reveal without checking the current episode content; the catalogue information establishes separate manga and anime products, not episode-by-episode adaptation coverage. Readers who want the source material can look for Volume 17 or the complete manga box set in VIZ’s catalogue, checking the edition and current availability with the retailer.
