There is an important distinction: a dashboard may let you edit a playlist scheduled for a future YouTube broadcast, or create recurring broadcast events, without rotating videos inside a live stream that is already running. OneStream Live documents the first capability; LiveScheduler documents the second. Neither cited source establishes continuous in-progress playlist rotation. If your goal is to keep uploaded videos looping on YouTube 24/7, StreamNeo is a separate cloud-streaming option.
What “playlist rotation” can mean on YouTube Live
The phrase can describe two different jobs. The first is preparing or editing a playlist broadcast before it starts. The second is keeping one live broadcast running while its video content changes repeatedly. A recurring calendar of broadcast events is a third, related job—but it does not necessarily deliver the stream or change content within an active broadcast.
- Scheduled playlist editing: change videos or broadcast details before a scheduled playlist broadcast goes live.
- Recurring event scheduling: create repeated YouTube broadcast events and manage them on a calendar.
- Active-stream rotation: switch or loop video content while the same live broadcast remains in progress.
The official product documentation described below supports the first two workflows, not the third. That distinction matters if you need uninterrupted playback rather than a sequence of separately scheduled events.
Which web-dashboard tools document these jobs?
| Tool | Documented dashboard capability | Who delivers the live video? | Evidence for rotation inside an active broadcast |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Upload a recording or build a playlist, add a YouTube stream key, and start a cloud stream that loops uploaded videos. | StreamNeo runs the uploaded-video stream from the cloud and can recover automatically if YouTube drops it. | It is documented as a way to loop uploaded videos continuously; it is not a camera-streaming service. |
| OneStream Live | Its Help Center says users can edit scheduled playlist broadcast content, social destinations, stream details, and broadcast details from a web dashboard before the broadcast goes live. The article was last updated August 6, 2026. | The cited help article establishes scheduled playlist management; it does not establish who delivers an active stream. | Not established by the cited documentation. |
| LiveScheduler | Creates recurring YouTube broadcast events using recurrence rules and displays them in a dashboard calendar. Its documentation says one rule can create up to 100 YouTube live occurrences. | The user must start separate streaming software; LiveScheduler says it does not stream the live itself or manage streams in progress or ended streams. | Not established; its stated scope excludes in-progress stream management. |
These are different categories, not interchangeable alternatives. Choose OneStream Live when the key task is editing a scheduled playlist broadcast, LiveScheduler when it is recurring event creation, and a delivery service such as StreamNeo when the objective is to keep uploaded videos streaming continuously from the cloud.

How the YouTube broadcast workflow fits together
YouTube treats the broadcast event and the audiovisual stream as separate parts of the workflow. Its API documentation describes a liveBroadcast as the event and a liveStream as the stream resource; broadcast operations include creating, binding, updating, and transitioning broadcasts. In YouTube Help’s encoder workflow, you schedule in YouTube Studio, then enter the YouTube server URL and stream key into an encoder and start it.
That separation explains why a calendar tool can create events without actually sending video, and why a scheduled playlist editor is not automatically proof of live content rotation. Before choosing software, identify whether you need to edit a future playlist, schedule repeat events, or provide the live video feed continuously.

Set up a scheduled playlist broadcast or recurring events
Edit a scheduled playlist with OneStream Live
- Open the OneStream Live web dashboard and locate the scheduled playlist broadcast.
- Edit the playlist content and, as needed, the social destination, stream details, or broadcast details before it goes live.
- Review the scheduled broadcast settings and confirm the intended playlist and destination.
This documented workflow is for changes before the scheduled broadcast starts. The cited help article does not establish that edits rotate content inside a broadcast already in progress.
Create recurring YouTube events with LiveScheduler
- Use LiveScheduler’s recurrence rules to define the broadcast schedule and review the occurrences on its dashboard calendar.
- Check the generated YouTube broadcasts; LiveScheduler documents up to 100 occurrences from one rule.
- For each occurrence, start your streaming software as usual. LiveScheduler does not send the video or manage the stream once it is in progress.
Recurring events solve the calendar and event-creation problem, not the continuous-delivery problem. Confirm that your encoder or streaming service is prepared for each event.

A technically valid stream is not automatically cleared for broadcast or monetization. Use only footage, music, narration, and other material you have the rights to stream, or that is otherwise authorized for your use. YouTube’s copyright and monetization decisions are separate from whether a scheduler or streaming service can play a file. Reused-content concerns can also arise when a channel republishes material without sufficient original value; review YouTube’s current policies for your channel and content before building a long-running playlist.

For scheduled or recurring broadcasts, verify the destination, stream details, start time, and playlist before each event. For continuous playback, check that the uploaded files are the intended versions and that the stream key belongs to the correct YouTube channel.
Troubleshooting: match the symptom to the job
- The playlist is wrong after scheduling: reopen the scheduled broadcast in the dashboard, edit its content and broadcast details, and verify the changes before it starts. OneStream Live documents pre-broadcast editing.
- Recurring events appear, but no video is live: event creation does not deliver video. Start the encoder or streaming service for the occurrence; LiveScheduler explicitly requires separate streaming software.
- YouTube receives no encoder feed: check that the encoder uses the YouTube server URL and stream key for the intended channel, then start the encoder. YouTube’s documented workflow requires both.
- You expected videos to change within an ongoing broadcast: a scheduled playlist editor or recurring-event calendar is not evidence of active-stream rotation. Choose a delivery workflow that explicitly loops uploaded content, or verify the provider’s active-stream behavior before relying on it.
- A stream stops unexpectedly: distinguish a dropped YouTube connection from a scheduled event ending. A cloud service with automatic recovery can restart after YouTube drops the stream; a recurrence calendar alone does not manage an in-progress stream.
- A video is blocked or claimed: review the rights and policy status of the specific media. Changing the scheduler does not resolve a copyright or reused-content issue.
How to choose
- Choose OneStream Live if your need is to edit the contents or settings of a scheduled playlist broadcast in a dashboard.
- Choose LiveScheduler if you need recurring broadcast-event creation and a calendar, and you will separately start streaming software for each event.
- Choose StreamNeo if you want uploaded videos to loop continuously on YouTube from the cloud rather than keep a computer running at home.
The sources establish these adjacent capabilities, not an exhaustive list of every product on the market. They do not establish that OneStream Live or LiveScheduler rotates playlist content inside an already-running broadcast.
