Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesYouTube does not publish a dedicated live bitrate for 1080p at 25 fps. Its nearest published reference is the 1080p at 30 fps row: for H.264, YouTube lists 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended; for AV1 or H.265 (HEVC), it lists 4 Mbps minimum and 10 Mbps recommended. Treat those as 30 fps figures, not an exact 25 fps specification. For a 25 fps news clip, keep the source frame rate where your workflow allows, then test representative footage and audio at a cautious setting informed by the 30 fps reference.
What bitrate should I use for a 1080p 25 fps YouTube Live stream?
Use YouTube’s 1080p30 live guidance as a reference, while recognizing that its official encoder table does not give a separate 1080p25 figure. The table specifies these values for 1080p at 30 fps:
| Codec | Minimum bitrate | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| H.264 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| AV1 or H.265 (HEVC) | 4 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s published 30 fps live figures; they are not measured or guaranteed recommendations for Indian news footage at 25 fps. The sources do not identify a special bitrate for Indian clips or for streams originating in India. Codec support in your encoder and available upload capacity also matter. YouTube’s live encoder guidance is the source for the table.
Is 1080p at 25 fps supported on YouTube Live?
YouTube’s live guidance says it supports frame rates up to 60 fps, but its bitrate table has no 25 fps row. The absence of a dedicated row does not establish that 25 fps is unsupported; it means there is no exact 1080p25 bitrate in that table to cite. For source footage at 25 fps, retaining that frame rate is a reasonable workflow choice when your encoder permits it. Confirm the result with a test stream rather than assuming the 30 fps number is exact for 25 fps.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set the encoder for a stable live stream
- Frame rate: Keep the 25 fps source rate if your workflow calls for it. YouTube’s published live bitrate comparison is for 30 fps, so validate the chosen rate on your actual footage.
- Bitrate control: Use CBR, as listed in YouTube’s live encoder guidance.
- Keyframes: Set a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube recommends two seconds and says not to exceed four seconds.
- Protocol: YouTube lists RTMP and RTMPS and recommends RTMPS.
- Test content: Include representative movement, graphics, speech and other audio you expect in the news clips. YouTube says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.”
Check that your internet upload can carry the stream
Your upload connection must carry the total outgoing bitrate. YouTube recommends leaving 20% of upload bandwidth available as headroom; if primary and backup streams are both active, include both in the total. A connection that only just matches the encoder bitrate leaves no room for variation and can result in an unstable stream. See YouTube’s live setup guidance.
Do not confuse live settings with video upload settings
YouTube’s upload guide gives 8 Mbps for standard-frame-rate 1080p SDR uploads, including 25 fps. That figure concerns encoding a video file for upload, not live ingest, so it is not the correct live bitrate specification. YouTube’s upload encoding recommendations cover that separate case.

Likewise, Google Cloud’s 6000 kbps setting for 1920×1080 p25/30 is guidance for its Live Stream API, a different service. It should not be represented as YouTube Live’s recommendation. See Google Cloud Live Stream API encoding settings.
Troubleshoot a weak or unstable stream
- Stream health reports dropped frames or the stream disconnects: Check whether total outgoing bitrate exceeds available upload capacity. Leave YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom, counting a backup stream if one is active.
- The video looks poor despite a stable connection: Confirm the selected codec and compare its bitrate with the corresponding YouTube 1080p30 reference. Test with representative news footage before the live event; the table does not define an exact 25 fps target.
- The encoder and YouTube settings disagree: Verify CBR, a two-second keyframe interval (never over four seconds), and RTMPS if your encoder supports it.
- A 1080p25 value found elsewhere does not match YouTube’s table: Check whether it refers to file uploads or another streaming service. Neither an upload encoding rate nor Google Cloud’s Live Stream API setting is YouTube Live ingest guidance.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a YouTube channel that needs uploaded news clips to loop continuously, StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. Your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a camera feed.
