For a YouTube channel network that needs continuous, scheduled programming, Castr TV Playout is the clearest documented fit in this comparison: it supports loop and schedule modes and explains how to add more than one YouTube channel through custom RTMP destinations. StreamNeo is the simplest cloud option when each channel needs an always-on loop of uploaded videos. Restream is better treated as a scheduled-playlist and event tool, not an established unlimited 24/7 loop solution.
Shortlist: which tool fits the job?
| Service | Best fit | What is documented | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Always-on YouTube playback of uploaded videos | Cloud looping and playlists; add a YouTube stream key once and run without keeping a computer on. | YouTube only; the documented product facts do not establish multi-channel destination limits. Confirm how separate slots map to separate channels before planning a network. |
| Castr TV Playout | Continuous, programmed playout with multiple YouTube destinations | Schedule or loop modes; custom RTMP destinations can be used to add more than one YouTube channel. | No guaranteed concurrent YouTube-channel maximum is stated. Loop duration, files, and destination limits depend on plan. |
| Restream playlists | Scheduled prerecorded playlist events | Upload, order, preview, and schedule a playlist to start automatically. | Its help page documents a 24-hour and 40-video playlist ceiling; it does not establish an unlimited continuous loop. |
| Livepush | Back-to-back uploaded-video broadcasts | Describes multi-video playlists and 24/7 looping or rotating channels. | Concurrent YouTube-channel limits and current plan caps are not established here. |
| Gyre and Upstream | Cloud-streaming alternatives to investigate | YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming and Upstream as a 24/7 cloud studio. | The directory does not verify current multi-channel scheduling features or limits. |
For the strongest documented combination of continuous playout and adding multiple YouTube channels, start with Castr and verify the concurrent destination count and plan boundaries directly. If you want a simpler cloud loop for uploaded videos, StreamNeo keeps YouTube playback running without a local encoder; confirm your multi-channel setup before committing to multiple channels.
Continuous channel programming is different from a scheduled playlist event
Continuous playout
A channel-style stream loops or schedules programming on an ongoing basis, often across multiple days and with a recurring sequence. The service must keep playback and delivery running in the cloud, and the plan must allow the needed loop length, files, and destinations.
Scheduled playlist event
A scheduled event starts a prepared playlist at a chosen time. That is useful for premieres, themed blocks, or a limited broadcast window, but a duration cap means it is not the same as an indefinitely repeating channel. Restream’s documented playlist maximum is 24 hours, so do not assume it can run a continuous channel beyond that limit.

How the services compare
StreamNeo: cloud looping for uploaded YouTube video
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded recordings: upload a video or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. The cloud handles looping, so no computer, OBS, or home internet connection needs to stay on. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera feed. The published product information does not state a maximum number of separate YouTube channels or concurrent slots, so a multi-channel operator should ask StreamNeo support how to configure the required destinations.
Every slot includes one always-on stream, uploaded quality up to 4K at 60 fps without re-encoding or quality tiers, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, playlists and 24/7 looping, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. Plan differences are billing length, not feature tiers. The first day is free once per account, with no card required; five or more slots can be discussed with support.
Billing options: Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. India-based customers can pay by UPI or card; card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo pricing.

Castr TV Playout: strongest documented multi-channel continuous workflow
Castr’s setup begins with a livestream destination and media uploaded in its Files tab or available as Live-to-VOD. At creation, choose Schedule or Loop, frame rate, and resolution. Those output settings cannot be changed after creation, and uploaded files are transcoded to match them. Loop mode repeats content until an end date; the maximum duration depends on plan.

Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCastr’s product page says each plan includes one playout channel, while file, loop, and output limits scale by plan. It lists multistream destination totals from 6 on Starter to 30 on Ultra and Events, with higher counts available on request. It lists Premium loop scheduling up to 15 days ahead and Ultra/Events up to 30 days. These are vendor-published plan claims, not independent performance measures, and can change; confirm current terms before buying.
For multiple YouTube channels, Castr’s connection instructions describe both a direct API connection and adding custom RTMP platforms with YouTube’s server and stream key. That supports adding more than one YouTube channel, but the documentation does not promise a maximum number of concurrent YouTube channels. Its cloud playout does not require a local encoder to remain online.

Castr distinguishes a one-file scheduled premiere or loop from a programmed channel made from multiple files and live streams with breaks and multi-day schedules. If your documentary channel needs interstitials, live inserts, or a multi-day schedule, verify that your intended workflow and plan support those elements.
Restream: strong scheduled playlists, bounded duration
Restream’s workflow lets you upload videos, order them, preview the playlist, choose channels, and schedule an automatic start. Its help article dated July 25, 2026, states a maximum of 24 hours and 40 videos per playlist. Playlists require the Upload & Stream add-on tiers. The same article lists Marathon at $79/month with a 4-hour video library and a 1080p maximum, and Media at $239/month with a 12-hour library and a 4K maximum. These are published Restream figures from that dated help page; check the current offer and definitions before purchase.
Restream’s playlist FAQ says prerecorded and live content cannot currently be blended in one playlist. It supports selecting destinations when scheduling an event and documents use of RTMP credentials for scheduled file and playlist events. Treat it as an event scheduler within the stated playlist cap unless Restream confirms a continuous looping feature that meets your requirements.

Livepush, Gyre, and Upstream: verify channel limits
Livepush describes queueing multiple uploaded videos into one continuous broadcast and re-encoding files to shared parameters to reduce playback glitches at handoffs. It cites 24/7 looping or rotating channels as a use case. The available product evidence does not establish its concurrent YouTube-channel count or current plan-level caps.
YouTube’s official encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded YouTube videos and Upstream as a cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming. That makes both reasonable names to investigate, but the directory does not verify their current multi-channel scheduling capabilities or destination limits.
Questions to settle before choosing a plan
- How many distinct YouTube channels must run at once? Ask for the documented concurrent destination limit, not just the number of destinations supported in a general multistream plan.
- Is the service truly continuous? Confirm loop mode, maximum loop duration, schedule horizon, and whether the stream restarts or ends when a playlist completes.
- How large is the programming library? Check video count, total runtime, file-size and storage limits, and whether storage is per channel, per slot, or pooled.
- Can the schedule include live segments or breaks? Restream says prerecorded and live media cannot currently be mixed in its playlist feature; confirm the specific workflow with any other provider.
- What happens to output quality? Compare selectable resolution and frame rate, transcoding behavior, and whether the output configuration can be changed after setup.
- Does it run without local equipment? A cloud playout service can keep delivery independent of a home computer and connection; an encoder-based workflow requires the encoder and network to remain available.
- What are the platform and content constraints? Check YouTube account eligibility, active-stream limits, archive expectations, content rights, and monetization rules.
YouTube requirements still apply
Channel eligibility and active-stream limits
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days to stream. YouTube Help, as accessed October 3, 2026, lists a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key, with both limits applying at the same time. These published platform limits may change; check the current help page when configuring a channel network.

Archives are not a continuous-broadcast guarantee
YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not guarantee that a third-party continuous broadcast will be saved as one archive, so plan recordings and replay availability separately if they matter.
Rights and monetization are separate tests
YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to hold the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights. A scheduler automates delivery; it does not grant a license. YouTube’s monetization policy also treats repetitive or mass-produced programming as “inauthentic content” and evaluates reused content separately from copyright. Having permission to stream material does not by itself establish monetization eligibility.
Common setup failures and fixes
- The service will not connect to the intended channel: Recheck which YouTube account authorized the API connection. For RTMP, use the server URL and key belonging to the exact channel you intend to stream to; label credentials by channel to avoid cross-posting.
- A stream starts on some channels but not others: Check each destination’s credentials and service plan destination limit, then confirm the channel has live-streaming eligibility. YouTube’s channel and per-key active-stream caps apply together.
- The playlist ends instead of repeating: Confirm that you selected loop/continuous mode rather than a scheduled event, and check the plan’s loop-duration or schedule limit.
- Output looks different from the source file: Review output resolution and frame rate before creating the playout. Castr says its files are transcoded to the selected output and those settings cannot be changed after creation.
- Playback stutters at file transitions: Confirm supported media formats and matching output parameters. Livepush says it re-encodes playlist files to shared encoding parameters to reduce handoff problems; ask any provider how it handles mismatched files.
- A planned live insert cannot join the playlist: Check whether the product supports mixing live input with prerecorded media. Restream’s playlist FAQ says it cannot currently blend them.
- The stream is interrupted or the archive is missing: Distinguish delivery recovery from YouTube’s archive behavior. Confirm the service’s recovery process and do not assume a stream longer than 12 hours will be archived as a single video.
