The company says only 10 will be built, allocations are offered by invitation, and delivery is scheduled 15 months after a deposit. That price is an asking price for the current edition—not proof that a build slot remains available, that a sale has closed, or that the vehicle can be registered for public-road use.
What the $2.99 million Tumbler actually is
This is a limited-production, full-size replica marketed through Wayne Enterprises, not a mass-produced road car from an automaker and not one of the original filming vehicles. Wayne Enterprises describes the current version as officially sanctioned by Warner Bros. and limited to 10 numbered builds.
The company’s purchase pathway involves an invitation, an offer review and reservation of a build allocation. Its page says delivery is scheduled 15 months from the deposit date. It does not state how many of the 10 allocations remain.
Current gasoline-edition specifications
The figures below are vendor-published specifications rather than independently tested performance results.

| Specification | Wayne Enterprises listing |
|---|---|
| Engine | 6.2L LS3 gasoline V8 |
| Listed output | 525 hp and 486 ft-lb |
| Transmission | GM 4L85E paddle-shift automatic |
| Brakes | Four-wheel power disc brakes |
| Approximate weight | 5,511 lb |
| Dimensions | 15 ft 3 in long, 9 ft 3 in wide and 5 ft high |
| Occupancy | Two seats with five-point harnesses |
| Listed equipment | GPS screens, air conditioning and a smoke-screen system |
Those dimensions matter as much as the headline horsepower: this is an unusually long and wide vehicle, so storage, transport, turning space and local vehicle rules would all need to be checked before committing to a purchase.
Does the advertised price mean one is available?
Not necessarily. Wayne Enterprises displays $2,990,000 for the current gasoline edition. Uncrate shows the same price but currently marks its listing sold out. The two statements are not contradictory: the manufacturer’s page describes an invitation and allocation process, while the retailer’s page reflects its own availability status.

A prospective buyer should request a current written allocation position, deposit terms, build contract, delivery location and cancellation conditions directly from the seller. The public pages do not establish completed-sale prices, remaining allocations or the number of vehicles already delivered.
Is the Tumbler street-legal?
Uncrate says the replica is not street-legal, and Fox 11 reports that Warner Bros. considers the vehicles not street-legal. The Wayne Enterprises material also notes that technical details can be subject to country-specific legislation.

That does not create one universal legal answer for every buyer. Registration, inspection, equipment and road-use rules vary by jurisdiction. Anyone considering the vehicle would need current written confirmation from Wayne Enterprises and a determination from the relevant local authorities. Treat it as a display, private-property or track-use vehicle unless your jurisdiction explicitly approves another use.
Why some articles quote $5 million
The $5,000,000 figure refers to a different Wayne Enterprises offering: a Centennial electric Tumbler described on an older FAQ page. That edition uses an electric motor and lithium-ion battery and was associated with Warner Bros.’ 100th anniversary.

| Edition | Price shown | Powertrain | Status and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current gasoline Tumbler | $2,990,000 | 6.2L LS3 gasoline engine | Current product page; invitation-only allocation, 10-build limit |
| Centennial electric Tumbler | $5,000,000 | Electric motor and lithium-ion battery | Older FAQ reference; separate edition with dated allocation language |
Do not combine the electric edition’s price or specifications with the current LS3-powered vehicle. The newer product page is the relevant source for the currently advertised gasoline model.

| Option | Scale and purpose | Price and availability evidence | Road use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wayne Enterprises Tumbler | Full-size replica intended for display and driving on permitted private property | $2,990,000 advertised; 10-build limit and invitation process; Uncrate currently says sold out | Reported not street-legal; jurisdiction-specific confirmation required |
| Hachette Dark Knight Tumbler partwork kit | 1:8-scale model kit documented in a 2025 auction catalogue | Current retail stock and price not established here | Not a road vehicle |
| Hot Toys Bat-Pod | Sixth-scale collectible of a different Batman vehicle | $290 on the Wayne Enterprises product page when accessed in 2026; price and availability can change | Not a Tumbler and not a road vehicle |
The Hachette kit is a small model, not a cheaper way to obtain the full-size car. Likewise, the $290 Bat-Pod is a separate collectible and should not be presented as a Tumbler replica.
What the price does—and does not—cover
- Established: the current advertised price is $2,990,000 for the gasoline edition.
- Established: Wayne Enterprises describes 10 numbered builds, invitation-only allocation and delivery scheduled 15 months after deposit.
- Not established: a guaranteed build slot, remaining allocation count, final transaction price or independently audited sales total.
- Not established: a universal right to register or drive the vehicle on public roads.
- Not established: independently tested acceleration, top speed, range or fuel economy.
What to verify before paying a deposit
- Ask Wayne Enterprises whether an allocation is currently open and obtain the answer in writing.
- Confirm which edition is being offered: the current 6.2L LS3 gasoline Tumbler or the separate Centennial electric edition.
- Review the deposit amount, refundability, build milestones, delivery timetable and contract’s governing jurisdiction.
- Have a qualified vehicle attorney or registration specialist assess road-use rules where the vehicle will be stored.
- Confirm transport, insurance, storage, servicing and private-property operating requirements before signing.
In short, the real-life Tumbler exists as a highly limited replica, but “real car” does not mean ordinary road car. The defensible current figure is $2.99 million for the gasoline edition, subject to invitation-only availability and significant legal and logistical constraints.
