The official trailer for FX’s Alien: Earth brings the Xenomorph into a new setting: Earth. Its warning, “We were safer in space,” frames a story about a crashed research ship, escaped alien life forms and Wendy, a human-consciousness hybrid caught up in the discovery.
What happens in the Alien: Earth trailer?
The trailer introduces the threat arriving aboard the USCSS Maginot, a deep-space research ship that crashes on Earth. The series’ official synopsis says Wendy and a group of tactical soldiers encounter alien life forms after the crash. The trailer’s FX page lists a two-minute runtime, a TV-MA rating and the promotional tagline “We were safer in space.” FX’s official trailer page
The setup shifts the franchise’s familiar extraterrestrial danger onto Earth, but the available official synopsis does not disclose every trailer reveal or explain the full scope of the crash’s aftermath.
Where and when is the series set?
Alien: Earth takes place in 2120. Disney’s series feature describes a world governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. Humans, cyborgs and synthetics coexist in this society.
