Genosha’s political system is central to the conflict. A specialist X-Men reference describes an economy built on mutate slavery and connects the exposure of that system to a developing civil war on the island. The hostility between Genosha and the mutant teams also has roots in an earlier conflict. A specialist issue entry says Uncanny X-Men #270 continues in New Mutants #95; the listed sequence follows the event reading order in Comic Book Reading Orders’ X-Tinction Agenda guide. The sequence spans all three titles, so reading only one series leaves out chapters from the crossover.
What happens across the nine issues?
The broad arc moves from abductions and rescue efforts toward an assault on the Genoshan Citadel and the aftermath. The reading-order guide highlights Havok’s revealed role as a brainwashed Magistrate and Warlock’s death among the major developments.
