There is no sourced, defensible ranking of “the 15 biggest D-bags” among WWE’s Divas, and a heel’s actions on screen are not evidence about the performer’s private character. WWE’s own archive offers a better-grounded way to revisit the era: as a look at the unpredictable, ruthless and manipulative characters who made memorable villains. The examples below are documented in WWE’s retrospective, not a complete or ranked top 15.
What “Divas” means in this retrospective
“Divas” was WWE’s label for its women wrestlers until 2016, when the company retired the branding and the Divas Championship in favor of a women’s championship. TIME’s 2025 retrospective describes that branding as part of WWE’s history of presenting women’s wrestling, and notes the audience campaign #GiveDivasAChance after a 30-second women’s tag match. The term belongs to this historical context; it is not WWE’s current roster label. TIME, July 12, 2025.
Seven memorable villainous Divas-era characters
WWE’s 2012 “Hall of Instability” feature names these performers among unpredictable or “unhinged” characters. The labels and storylines below describe televised personas and rivalries, not real-life conduct. WWE’s article does not establish a ranking, so the entries are grouped by the kind of villainy it highlighted.
Vickie Guerrero: the calculating manager
WWE portrayed Guerrero as a calculating presence who used her authority and relationships to influence storylines. Her role fits the manipulative-manager archetype: a villain whose power came as much from decisions and interference as from wrestling.

Victoria: the ruthless rival
WWE’s retrospective points to Victoria’s villainous rivalry behavior. Her character’s antagonism made the feud itself the spectacle, turning personal competition into a sustained source of conflict.
Mickie James: the obsessive challenger
In a storyline with Trish Stratus, James was presented as obsessed with her rival. The premise made James unsettling and unpredictable within the plot; it should not be mistaken for a statement about the performer outside the story.

Bull Nakano: the intimidating force
WWE described Nakano through an intimidating wrestling style. Her villainous presence was physical and direct, a contrast to characters whose power came from scheming or authority.
Sherri Martel: the unpredictable antagonist
Martel appears in WWE’s list of unpredictable Divas characters. The retrospective supports her inclusion as an on-screen antagonist, though it does not set out a specific incident or justify ranking her above the other names.

Luna Vachon: the volatile presence
WWE includes Vachon in its retrospective of unpredictable Divas. As with the other entries, this is an account of WWE’s character presentation rather than evidence about her private personality.

Professional wrestling stories are built around roles: a heel antagonizes opponents and audiences, while a face is positioned as the hero. WWE itself used “jerks” as an in-character label in its 2013 feature on villainous Superstars and Divas, which framed the label as part of its theatrical world. That makes the term useful for discussing performance, not for judging performers’ real character. WWE, “The biggest jerks of 2013”.

The real-world criticism of the Divas era was different
Criticism of WWE’s treatment of women should be kept separate from fictional villainy. In 2015, A.J. Lee publicly argued that women wrestlers received less pay and screen time despite audience and merchandise success. TIME reported her statement; it is Lee’s criticism, not an independently verified payroll finding. Her comment came the year before WWE retired the Divas branding. Nolan Feeney, TIME, February 25, 2015.
