How could UK viewers watch WWE Raw live on Netflix?
UK viewers watched the premiere through Netflix with an eligible membership, rather than buying a separate WWE pay-per-view event. Netflix’s partnership announcement identified Netflix as the new home of Raw from 2025, while Netflix’s live-event guidance says eligible plans include live events without a separate event purchase. Netflix’s WWE Raw partnership announcement documents the platform arrangement.
Netflix said episodes became available immediately after the livestream, subject to device and regional availability. A device that could not handle livestreaming would generally receive the programme later as an on-demand title instead. That distinction matters for viewers who joined the stream late or used older television software.
| Viewing method | When it was available | What was required | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live stream | 1:00 a.m. GMT, January 7, 2025 | Eligible Netflix membership and a supported device | Live playback depended on device and software support |
| On demand after the stream | Immediately after the livestream where supported | Eligible Netflix membership and regional catalogue access | Availability could vary by region and device |
| Later on demand on an unsupported live device | Later than the live broadcast | Netflix access on a compatible on-demand device | The device might not support the live event itself |
Netflix’s supported-device guidance covers smart TVs, streaming players, game consoles, mobile devices and computers. Amazon Fire TV/Stick is among the listed device families. Netflix also maintains a specific explanation for the message “This device doesn’t support livestreaming”.
