Yes. WWE NXT wrestler Myles Borne has publicly said he is partially deaf, not completely deaf. He has also said his hearing loss affects his speech.
What Myles Borne has said about his hearing
During an NXT promo on May 13, 2025, Borne addressed the subject directly: “I have a disability. I’m partially deaf. It affects my speech. It affects the way I talk…” WrestleTalk reported and transcribed the promo.
That first-person description is the clearest answer to the question. “Partially deaf” is Borne’s own wording; the available account does not establish an exact degree of hearing loss.
How he has described communication in wrestling
In a May 2024 interview, Borne said people at NXT sometimes repeat themselves or speak more loudly to help him follow conversations. He also described crowd noise as “kind of like white noise” and said, “I can’t really pick out what’s being said.” POST Wrestling’s interview account attributes those comments to Borne.

He has also discussed needing louder announcements and communication in the ring. These are his descriptions of his experience; they should not be taken as a general account of how every person with hearing loss experiences a noisy arena. The interview reflects what he described in 2024, not necessarily every current communication practice at NXT.
What has been reported about the cause
A 2026 interview account and a 2022 USA Insider profile connect Borne’s hearing loss to treatment he received for persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN). Those are media accounts of his medical history, not clinical records confirming a diagnosis or independently establishing causation. The Rich Eisen Show Editorial account and USA Insider’s profile provide that background.
