Today’s Wordle answer

Spoiler warning: the answer is below.

The answer to Wordle #1478 on July 6, 2025, is ATRIA, the plural of atrium. PC Gamer’s Kerry Brunskill described it as “the rarely-heard plural form of a large, open, airy area you might find in the centre of a building.” The word also names the heart’s two upper chambers. PC Gamer’s July 6 guide and Forbes’ guide both identify ATRIA as the answer.

How to use the clues and tile colors

Wordle gives you six guesses to find a five-letter word. After each guess, the tiles show how each letter relates to the answer:

  • Green: the letter is correct and in the right position.
  • Yellow: the letter is in the answer, but in a different position.
  • Gray: the letter is not in the answer.

For this puzzle, preserve green letters in place, try yellow letters in positions you have not tested, and avoid gray letters—unless your clues point to a repeated letter. PC Gamer’s rules summary notes that answers may contain repeated letters.
