It is also listed under the alternate title Blade Violent / I violenti, so searches for either name can lead to the same film. The story begins with Emanuelle’s imprisonment after she gets close to exposing a corrupt official, and it escalates into abuse inside the prison and a takeover by escaped male prisoners.
What the film is about
The catalog synopsis follows Emanuelle, a reporter who is jailed after approaching a story about a corrupt official. Inside the prison she faces abusive staff and a conflict with an inmate named Albina. The plot then turns toward a larger breakdown of order: escaped male prisoners take over the facility, and the women must survive the consequences.
Read as a premise, the film is built around confinement, institutional abuse and a reporter’s loss of control over her own situation. The synopsis is publisher copy, so it describes the setup and the escalation but says nothing about how the film was received or how it stands in Mattei’s body of work.

Credits are most consistently attributed to Rotten Tomatoes and the streaming listing. Sources can differ on pseudonyms and on direction claims, so treat the names below as catalog credits rather than settled production history.

Is Women’s Prison Massacre the same as Blade Violent?
Yes, according to the catalog records that list Blade Violent / I violenti as an alternate title.
