What does “strongest” mean?
“Strongest” can mean raw lifting strength, striking power, durability, or the likelihood of winning a fight. The sources available here do not give comparable, controlled measurements of Wolverine’s and Deadpool’s raw physical strength. For a matchup, the most useful question is who has the better combat advantage under specified conditions.

That answer depends on continuity, equipment, distance, preparation, and what counts as a win. A game depiction is not a direct ranking of comic-book versions, and one story’s outcome does not settle every later encounter.
Why Wolverine has the edge in close combat
Marvel’s official Wolverine profile for Marvel Rivals describes Logan’s regenerative healing factor and berserker rage, as well as his Adamantium claws and Adamantium-bonded skeleton. The profile says these traits let him fight through severe pain and go “claw-to-claw” with opponents. That supports Wolverine as the more defensible pick when the matchup is a direct, close-range fight.

The profile is for a game, however. Its gameplay statistics are mechanics for Marvel Rivals, not standardized measurements of Wolverine’s strength or a definitive ranking against Deadpool in the comics.
Why Deadpool is still hard to defeat
Marvel’s 2024 Multiverse Role-Playing Game character profile lists a healing factor among Deadpool’s powers. It says Wade Wilson turned to Weapon X while near death from cancer and that the scientists implanted him with Wolverine’s healing factor.

This establishes a connection between their healing factors in that profile, not that their healing works identically in every continuity or that it guarantees either character a win. Deadpool’s healing makes him difficult to finish; it does not erase Wolverine’s close-combat advantages.
So, who would win in a fight?
For a straightforward close-quarters fight, Wolverine is the better-supported choice: his claws and Adamantium skeleton pair with his healing and berserker rage. Deadpool’s healing factor and whatever weapons or circumstances a story gives him can change the contest, so this is an editorial matchup judgment rather than a canonical verdict for all versions.

The distinction matters: Wolverine having the stronger case in this scenario is not the same as proving he has greater raw lifting strength, nor does it mean he wins every encounter. Comic stories vary by continuity and writer, and both characters have fought and teamed up repeatedly. TIME identifies their first meeting as Wolverine #88 (1994), but that history does not produce one definitive result for every possible matchup. Readers who want examples from the comics can look at the publisher-listed Deadpool Vs. Wolverine collection. Penguin Random House lists the paperback at 336 pages, published March 26, 2024, and says it includes Wolverine (1988) #88 alongside other stories featuring both characters. The collection offers encounters to read; it is not a definitive ruling on who is strongest.
