The studio has described it as a dense, exploratory experience between Prey and Fallout: New Vegas, rather than a sequel to either game. NEOWIZ announced a global publishing partnership in February 2025, but no public title or release date has been disclosed in the sources available through October 8, 2026.
What WolfEye has revealed about the game
WolfEye’s first detailed public account came in an interview published by PC Gamer on August 8, 2024. The studio described the project as a first-person action RPG with immersive-sim qualities. Its systems, as discussed at that stage, included character stats, dialogue choices and XP-based level-ups. Those interview details are not a final feature list.
Creative director Raphaël Colantonio described the design as falling between Prey and Fallout: New Vegas. He contrasted the more linear, mission-based structure of Dishonored with the sprawling open world of New Vegas, placing Prey between them as an open but dense experience. His shorthand for the new project’s design preference was: “We favour density over size.”
That comparison describes an intended design spectrum, not a franchise connection. WolfEye has not announced a Dishonored or Prey sequel, nor does the comparison guarantee specific mechanics from those games.

- The Breach is an intense sci-fi and horror game, set in a dystopian retro-future, that unfolds at a relentless pace.
- Drawing inspiration from the iconic science fiction novels of the 1970s, this game will transport you through time and space, revealing a multitude of parallel worlds referred to as Paradoxes.
- As a Watcher, your role is to gather data and information, delving into these infinite universes in search of hidden secrets, all while attempting to survive and make it back to the Bastion in one piece... if that's even possible.
- The Breach is a 128-page b/w digest-sized (148mmx216mm) softcover science fiction roleplaying game by Matteo Sciutteri, and runs on the Breathless system by Fari RPGs.
Setting: early-1900s America reshaped by future technology
The 2024 interview framed the setting as a “what-if story” in early-1900s America. Colantonio described a major technological event—“like some sort of crazy technology from the future”—that diverted history roughly 30 years before the game’s events. The February 2025 partnership announcement later characterized the world as retro-futuristic and the narrative as branching.
Together, those descriptions point to an alternate-history setting with a speculative technology premise and choices that can affect the story. WolfEye and publisher NEOWIZ have not published a complete account of the plot, its characters or how branching decisions work.
Who is making and publishing it?
WolfEye Studios was founded by developers with experience at Arkane, the studio behind Dishonored and Prey (2017). WolfEye’s official site describes its focus as immersive games with original worlds, strong audio, deeper simulation and gameplay possibilities, and worlds that respond to player actions and decisions. That is the studio’s stated ambition, not confirmation that every planned element will appear in this game. WolfEye released Weird West in 2022.
On February 4, 2025, WolfEye and NEOWIZ announced a global publishing partnership. The announcement identifies the project as a retro-sci-fi first-person action RPG and names PC and console audiences. It does not specify particular consoles, storefronts or editions. Colantonio, identified there as WolfEye president and creative director, said the studio makes games that blend “RPG, action and simulation.”

Is the game still unnamed, and when will it release?
There is still no public title or release date in the reviewed announcements and coverage. A PC Gamer interview published July 26, 2026 continued to describe it as an unnamed first-person RPG. Colantonio suggested the studio may have an internal name, saying, “I think we have it,” but the interview did not reveal one.
The only explicit production milestone in these sources is historical: PC Gamer reported in August 2024 that pre-production had just ended and the game was moving into production. That is not a current status update. NEOWIZ’s FY2024 investor presentation placed the project in its FY2026-and-later pipeline and said conditions could change; this planning context is not a release-date commitment. No reviewed source confirms a current production stage, launch window, price, rating or final feature list.
