What is confirmed is the church’s identity and setting, along with Wisconsin Family Council’s separate account of a Palm Sunday 2020 incident there. That account is not evidence of what the unidentified video shows.
What can be confirmed about the video?
The exact episode or video described by the title has not been identified, and no transcript is available. It is therefore not possible to verify its scenes, claims, participants or argument. No quotation or description of the video’s contents should be treated as established without the original video or transcript.
The verified context is narrower: Pilgrim is a congregation in West Bend, and Wisconsin Family Council has separately published material about an incident at the church during the COVID-19 pandemic. That background does not establish that the unidentified video covers the incident.
Where is Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church?
Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Unaltered Augsburg Confession gives its address as 462 Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend, WI 53090. The LCMS locator lists Sunday services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and a Thursday service at 7:00 p.m.; schedules can change, so check with the church before relying on those times. The locator’s 2025 congregation statistics report 155 average weekly attendance, 434 baptized members and 250 confirmed members. These are figures reported in the locator for the 2025 report year, not a current count or independent audit.
What is known about the separate Palm Sunday 2020 account?
Wisconsin Family Council president Daniel Degner published an account of a Palm Sunday service at Pilgrim in 2020, framing the incident as a religious-liberty issue (Wisconsin Family Council). A separate council article, “The Silent Sanctuary: What Happened at Pilgrim Lutheran on Palm Sunday,” dates the event to April 5, 2020, and says police later apologized to the pastor.

Those details are the council’s account and framing. The article points to reporting by Wisconsin Public Radio and FOX 6 Milwaukee, but the underlying reports are not independently established here. Readers assessing disputed details should consult the original media reporting rather than treating the council’s retelling as a substitute. None of these event claims should be attributed to the unidentified video.

Pilgrim says its worship follows historic liturgy published in the Lutheran Service Book, issued by Concordia Publishing House in 2006. Its worship page describes the gathering this way: “At Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, God’s people gather together for the Divine Service three times a week.” (Pilgrim’s worship page.) This is useful context about the congregation, not evidence that the book appears in or is promoted by the video.
