Is Season 4 happening?
Yes, the series is continuing, but the evidence supports only that the story is being written. In a June 2026 conversation with Variety India, reported by Mint on June 29, 2026, co-creator Raj Nidimoru said the makers had planned Seasons 3 and 4 as a single story. He described the writing as active: “We had always planned Seasons 3 and 4 as one long story.” He added: “So yes, we’re writing furiously.”

Nidimoru also addressed viewers who felt Season 3 ended before its natural point. In his view, the central narrative had reached a logical stopping place, and only Srikant Tiwari’s journey remained open because it carries into the next season. That framing explains why Season 4 is treated as a continuation rather than a separate project.
What this does not establish is a shoot start, a release window, or a platform announcement. When headlines describe Season 4 as “confirmed,” read that as creator-reported development, not a scheduled launch.

Will Manoj Bajpayee return?
Bajpayee’s own remarks point strongly toward his return. In an iDiva interview, updated on June 16, 2026, he said the next instalment would be the fourth season, adding: “But it will be the fourth season, and contractually, The Family Man for us will be done with.” In the same conversation he explained that Raj & DK were occupied with Farzi 2, after which they would prepare The Family Man and finalise the script.
His timing comment is the most specific production signal available, and it needs careful reading. Asked when the season would be made, Bajpayee said: “I know that they will shoot it as soon as the shoot gets over, say, by mid next year, then the post-production will happen and then, so on and so forth. There will be much less waiting this time, that much, I can assure you.”
“Mid next year,” said in June 2026, points to filming around mid-2027. It is an actor’s tentative expectation, conditional on the creators finishing other work and their script. It is not a production schedule, and it is not a premiere date. Post-production, which he mentions, would come after that filming window.

Will Jaideep Ahlawat return?
Ahlawat’s Season 3 role is established. Prime Video’s official Season 3 guide, published by About Amazon India on October 30, 2025, presents him as one of Srikant’s new adversaries, and the platform’s cast information for the series lists him. That confirms his participation in Season 3 only.

His Season 4 status is different. None of the Season 4 reporting or platform material reviewed names him as returning. The accurate answer is that his return is unconfirmed, not that he has been ruled out. Adversaries in this series often change between seasons, so a returning role should be treated as open until the cast is announced.
Release date and where to watch
No Season 4 premiere date appears in the material reviewed, and no release window has been set by Prime Video. The only dated timing signal is Bajpayee’s estimate for filming around mid-2027, which sits well before any plausible release. A premiere would follow filming and post-production, so a 2027 release is not established.

Not every headline about Season 4 carries the same weight. Use these three checks before accepting a claim.

- Who is speaking? A creator describing writing progress is different from an actor estimating a shoot, and both differ from a platform announcement.
- What stage is described? Writing, pre-production, filming, post-production and release are separate milestones. Reports about one do not prove the next.
- Is it a date or a schedule? Only a dated platform announcement or listing should be treated as a release date. Phrases such as “by mid next year” describe expectations.

The series’ earlier history is also worth checking if you want context for the cast. Amazon’s November 29, 2019 Season 2 greenlight announcement from its press centre covers the show’s production background, but it does not bear on Season 4 timing.

What would change this picture
Three developments would move Season 4 from development to scheduled production: an official announcement from Prime Video or the producers, a cast list naming Bajpayee and any returning supporting actor such as Ahlawat, and a release date or window attached to that announcement. Until one of these appears, the most accurate summary is that Season 4 is being written, Bajpayee is expected back, and Ahlawat’s return has not been confirmed.
Check Prime Video’s listing for The Family Man directly before relying on any date, because the catalog and cast details can change without notice.
