No second season continuing Jeffrey Dahmer’s story has been announced by Netflix. Monster did continue, but as an anthology about different notorious figures: its second installment focused on Lyle and Erik Menendez, and its third on Ed Gein. Those are new stories, not a continuation of DAHMER — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
Is DAHMER Season 2 happening?
As of Oct. 8, 2026, Netflix has not announced a second season focused on Dahmer. Netflix’s official title page lists DAHMER — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story as a 2022 title with 10 episodes: Netflix Tudum’s DAHMER title page. The official Netflix pages reviewed do not give a release date for a Dahmer follow-up.

Why does Monster have more seasons?
Netflix announced on Nov. 7, 2022 that Monster would receive two more installments and become an anthology following other notorious figures. The renewal was for the series as an anthology, not for a second chapter about Dahmer: Netflix’s renewal announcement.

Season 2: the Menendez brothers
Netflix identifies Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story as the anthology’s second installment. Its subject is the Menendez brothers, not Jeffrey Dahmer. Netflix’s overview was published Jan. 8, 2025: Netflix Tudum’s Menendez series guide.
Season 3: Ed Gein
Netflix announced Ed Gein as the focus of the third installment in October 2024, then described Monster: The Ed Gein Story as the anthology’s third installment when it reported the series was available to stream on Nov. 26, 2025. It is another separate story rather than a Dahmer continuation: Netflix Tudum’s Ed Gein coverage.

What to expect from the next Monster installment
The anthology’s later installments change subjects instead of continuing Dahmer’s story. So, if you are looking for more episodes about Dahmer, the Menendez and Ed Gein seasons do not answer that request; they are separate true-crime dramatizations within the same anthology.
