In its October 2023 coverage of Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir event, the Associated Press described Trey as her bonus child. That is the AP’s description of the family relationship, and it is the only source reviewed that uses this framing for Jada.

Trey’s career is the one area where the coverage reviewed is thin. None of the sources establishes a detailed current project list for him. That is a gap in the reporting, not evidence that he has no career.
Jaden Smith
Jaden is the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, the younger brother of Trey and the older brother of Willow. Willow Smith
Willow is the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, the younger sister of Jaden and the half-sister of Trey. GRAMMY.com’s October 2022 interview identifies her as a singer and guitarist and covers her album COPINGMECHANISM, including her rock influences and the way the record came together. The interview is the most detailed account of her work in the sources reviewed.
Jaden and Willow’s music careers
Jaden and Willow share a public involvement in music, but their work differs. Willow’s sources focus on a specific album and her stylistic direction as a singer and guitarist. The 2024 premiere
At the 2024 Bad Boys: Ride or Die premiere, Will Smith appeared with Trey, Jaden and Willow. In an Entertainment Tonight interview, he said, “It was beautiful seeing our kids together.” That remark describes one public event. It does not tell us how the children relate to each other in private.

The report ran on October 11, 2023, and a separate AP story from October 19, 2023 covered the couple’s book talk, where they described their relationship as brutal and beautiful. Both statements were made in 2023. Neither is a current update on the couple’s relationship, and neither describes how the children relate to either parent.
