UOL Splash reported that social-media users had speculated about a possible pregnancy before the couple made their announcement. Those comments were speculation, not independent confirmation. A person’s appearance is not reliable evidence of pregnancy, so the announcement—not online guesses—settles what was publicly confirmed.

In the couple’s gender-reveal video, Neymar joked, “Já estou avisando, ano que vem, dezembro, menino” (“I’m already telling you, next year, December, a boy”), as reported by UOL Splash. It was a remark about wanting a boy in the future, not an announcement of another pregnancy.
