No. As of October 8, 2026, none of the sources checked report a Season 4 pickup from Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. USA Network canceled Colony after three seasons, and the Season 3 finale was reported as the series finale. Netflix’s connection to the show is a past streaming-licensing deal, not a production or ordering role, so there is no Netflix or Amazon route to a fourth season on record. Streaming availability is a separate question, covered below.
What happened to Colony
Colony is a science-fiction drama set in an occupied, near-future Los Angeles. It follows a family trying to survive the occupation and stay together. Legendary’s official page gives the original release date as January 14, 2016.

USA Network canceled the series in July 2018, after three seasons. TVLine reported at the time that the Season 3 finale would also serve as the series finale. Nothing in the sources reviewed shows a later order for a fourth season from any network or streaming service. That is a statement about the record, not a prediction: the sources do not rule out a future revival, and they do not show one being planned.
Netflix’s role: a streaming deal, not a revival
Netflix’s involvement is often cited in fan discussions, so it is worth being precise. In 2015 Netflix acquired second-window streaming rights to Colony. Its announcement described streaming episodes after their linear broadcast and named Legendary Television and Universal Cable Productions as the production partners.

That deal made Netflix a streaming destination for the show. It did not make Netflix the owner or producer, and it did not commit Netflix to ordering more episodes. Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos framed the original acquisition this way: “We knew from the moment we saw it that COLONY is the kind of smart serialized drama that Netflix members around the world would love watching.” That remark concerned the licensing deal, not a later revival.
Amazon Prime Video: current availability, not a commission
The presence of Colony on Amazon Prime Video does not mean Amazon commissioned or revived the series. It means the existing episodes are licensed there. A JustWatch listing checked on October 8, 2026 showed all three seasons on Amazon Prime Video in the United States, alongside other viewing and purchase options.

Netflix states that it shows a “Last day to watch on Netflix” message when a title is due to leave within the next month. That is a general Netflix help-page feature, not confirmation of Colony’s current catalog status. If you are checking Netflix, look for that message on the title’s page in your own account and region.
Choosing how to watch
- Already subscribed to Prime Video: Check whether your account plan includes ads before you start, since ad-supported and ad-free access differ.
- Want to avoid a subscription: Free ad-supported services are listed in the US snapshot, but confirm that the seasons you want appear on them.
- Want to keep the episodes: Digital purchase gives access without a subscription; DVD and Blu-ray give you physical copies, provided the set covers the seasons you need.
- Outside the United States: The listing above does not apply. Search your country’s streaming catalog directly.
What would change this answer
A fourth season would need a network, streaming service, or production partner to commit to new episodes. No such commitment appears in the sources checked. If one is announced, it would be reported by the commissioning company and the trade press, and the streaming question would then be a separate matter from production.
Colony’s rights history is therefore the clearest indicator to watch. A new licensing deal for the existing episodes tells you about catalog access. Only a new production order tells you about Season 4.
