Its later update reported that Season 4 filming began in Toronto in November 2025, but gave no Season 5 decision or Season 4 release date. Netflix Tudum’s Season 4 update is dated November 26, 2025.
That distinction matters: a creator’s plans for a story, a show’s popularity, or the fact that a season is in production do not amount to a Netflix order for another season. The available official information establishes Seasons 3 and 4, not a fifth.
What does “I’m not Netflix” mean?
The headline wording “I’m not Netflix” could not be tied to a verified original interview in the sources available here. Netflix Tudum has quoted creator Sarah Lampert describing the Season 3/4 story as “all planned out.” That remark concerns the direction of the story, not confirmation that Netflix ordered five seasons. The outlet also quoted Lampert calling Season 4’s theme “Cycles and Origins.”
What is known about Season 4’s story?
Netflix says Season 4 will explore Georgia’s origins and the effects of the Season 3 trial on her children. The update also points to Georgia’s family history and pregnancy, and to how Ginny and Austin have been changed by events. Season 3’s story centers on Georgia’s murder trial, while Netflix describes the mother-daughter relationship as the series’ core. These are announced Season 4 story directions; they do not indicate whether the story will continue into another season.

Does the series’ popularity make Season 5 likely?
Netflix reported that Ginny & Georgia reached 56 million views by the fifth week after Season 2’s January 2023 release and reached 88 countries. Those are historical figures reported by Netflix in 2023, not a current audience measurement or a renewal forecast.
