What rule did the contestants break?
During the week before cameras rolled in Fiji, the cast was sequestered on set and barred from talking to one another before the game began. Probst told TV Insider that the pair had been warned but continued violating the no-talking rule. The report does not describe what they said, how production detected the conversations, or any other specific conduct.

Why did Probst decide to remove them?
Probst said casting contacted him after the warnings were ignored. He consulted the executive team, then received another call while they were discussing the situation. He decided to remove both contestants and bring in the alternates.
Probst said he could not recall a previous removal for violating the pregame no-talking policy. He characterized the incident to TV Insider as “blatant disrespect for the casting team.” That is Probst’s account of the decision; the reports do not include a response from either removed contestant.

Who replaced the removed players?
The alternates were Jason Treul and Michelle “MC” Chukwujekwu, according to Parade. The outlets reported that the substitutions happened about 12 hours before filming began. Probst described the last-minute change as an unprecedented test of the show’s casting process and told Parade, “We do have rules, and they have to be respected, and if they’re not, we will take action.”
Were the contestants who were cut identified?
No. TV Insider’s report describes them only as one man and one woman and does not give their names. The cited coverage does not establish their identities, so speculation about who they were is unwarranted.

What is confirmed about the timing?
Both reports place the removals about 12 hours before filming began. Parade said the season was scheduled to premiere on CBS on September 24, 2025; that was a historical premiere announcement, not confirmation of current viewing availability.
