Sarah Jane Nader’s “damage control” remark was a joke about her family seeing the sisters on reality TV—not a report of a real crisis. In a PEOPLE interview republished by AOL on August 27, 2025, the Nader sisters said relatives in Louisiana might be surprised by what they saw in Love Thy Nader.
What Sarah Jane Nader meant by “damage control”
After the sisters had watched the first three episodes, Mary Holland Nader said, “A lot of surprises coming.” Sarah Jane followed with, “Already doing some damage control.” The exchange appears in AOL’s republication of the PEOPLE interview, published August 27, 2025, alongside the series premiere.
In context, “damage control” was a lighthearted reaction to family members encountering things the show would reveal. The report does not identify a particular scandal, disputed incident, public-relations effort, or actual crisis.
Why the sisters expected their Louisiana family to be surprised
Brooks Nader described how relatives back home reacted to the prospect of the sisters appearing on television: “With our family members back home in Louisiana, obviously, they were like, ‘Whoa, you’re going to be on television, like the real TV?’” The comment frames the joke as a family reaction to the show, rather than a response to a specific event.
