Piers Morgan apologized to Beyoncé and JAY-Z after singer Jaguar Wright made allegations about them during an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored. Morgan said their lawyers told the show the claims were false, the program removed them from the original interview, and he apologized. That account explains the edit; it does not independently establish the truth or falsity of every allegation.
What Jaguar Wright said on Piers Morgan’s show
Morgan interviewed Wright in a discussion that included Sean Combs. During the interview, Wright made allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé. The claims were Wright’s; they should not be treated as established facts. The Guardian’s report and BBC News’ report describe the interview and the subsequent response.

Why Morgan apologized and the interview was edited
Morgan said the couple’s lawyers contacted the show and characterized Wright’s claims as “totally false and have no basis in fact.” He said the program complied with a legal request to remove the claims from the original interview and apologized to Beyoncé and JAY-Z. This is Morgan’s account of what the lawyers told the show, not an independent adjudication of every underlying allegation.
As quoted by The Guardian, Morgan said: “Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact. And we’ve therefore complied with the legal request to cut them from the original interview. Editing interviews is not something we do lightly on a show called Uncensored. But, like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theatre, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologise to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
#1 Best Overall
Morgan also said the show did not edit interviews lightly, while acknowledging that legal limits applied. The issue he addressed was the decision to remove the claims and apologize, rather than a finding about whether Wright’s allegations were true.
