An arena spokesperson told Access Hollywood: “We can confirm that the Jonas Brothers’ performance had to be interrupted for several minutes due to the use of a prohibited laser pointer by the person. The organizing service responded to this fact immediately. After a few minutes, the band continued their performance and went back on the stage.” Access Hollywood reported the arena’s account.
Why was the performance paused?
The venue attributed the interruption to the laser pointer. ABC News reported that O2 arena’s prohibited-items list includes “objects with a laser beam,” giving venue-specific context for the response. The arena said its organizing service responded immediately and the band resumed after a few minutes. ABC News covered the incident and the venue’s prohibited-items list.

Was the person identified or removed?
The arena’s quoted statement does not name the person, describe their intent, or say they were removed from the venue. Indian Express relayed a claim that the person was removed from a Jonas Daily News fan-page caption, but that is not confirmation from the arena. Indian Express reported the fan-page claim.

The contemporaneous reports do not establish the person’s motive, whether anyone was injured, or whether the laser caused harm. They also do not establish what Nick Jonas was thinking or feeling. Indian Express said a band statement was awaited when it published its report, while ABC News said a representative had not immediately responded to its request for comment; those reports do not determine whether a later statement was issued.
