Nana Gouvêa said she gave up one U.S. television-series opportunity because she could not fit its filming, rehearsals and script study around the time she was devoting to OnlyFans. She did not say she was quitting acting: she continued working on a film already in production and described acting as a lasting part of her life.
Why did Nana Gouvêa turn down the series?
In a statement reported by Notícias da TV on October 27, 2021, Gouvêa explained that the demands of the series conflicted with her OnlyFans work. She wrote: “Tive que abrir mão de uma série de TV daqui porque eu não conseguiria conciliar o tempo de gravações, ensaios e estudo de textos com o OnlyFans.” In English, she said she had to give up a television series because she could not reconcile the time for filming, rehearsals and studying scripts with OnlyFans. Notícias da TV’s October 27, 2021 report attributed the statement to her social-media post.
The choice she described was between specific work commitments, not a general rejection of television. Acting assignments can require preparation as well as time on set; Gouvêa said she could not coordinate those demands with the work she was doing for the platform.
Did she quit acting for OnlyFans?
No. The same 2021 report said she continued filming a movie that was already underway. Gouvêa wrote: “Mantive nas gravações um filme que já estava no meio da produção porque isso era o certo a se fazer e porque nada no mundo me afasta da atuação.” She said she kept the film because it was already halfway through production and because nothing would keep her away from acting.
#1 Best Overall
Her point was that acting remained important even as she declined this one series opportunity. Portal Popline’s October 27, 2021 account also reproduced her post and reported that the film was already in the middle of shooting.
Which series did she turn down?
The reports do not name it. Notícias da TV described it as a series in the United States, but the available coverage does not establish its title or connect the opportunity to a particular later project. A 2022 report said Gouvêa expected to return to filming The Fever; it did not say that was the series she had declined the year before. NaTelinha’s January 7, 2022 report is about her then-reported plans, not an identification of the unnamed series.
How did Gouvêa describe her OnlyFans work?
In a 2023 interview account, UOL Splash reported that Gouvêa said she joined OnlyFans during the pandemic to reach a niche of fans and characterized her content as not pornographic. Those are her descriptions of her work, not an independent assessment of her profile. The interview does not establish her current account status or terms. UOL Splash’s May 19, 2023 report covers that later explanation.

The documented decision is narrow: in 2021, Gouvêa said the schedule for one unnamed U.S. series could not be reconciled with her OnlyFans workload, while she continued a film already in production. It does not show that she left acting, retired from television, or stopped taking screen roles. The sources also do not establish what ultimately happened to the unnamed series.
