Miley Cyrus said the awkward part of kissing Angus T. Jones on Two and a Half Men was taking off her engagement ring first. Her remark was about preparing for that scene—not a claim that working with Jones, or their wider experience on the show, was weird.
What did Miley Cyrus say?
During an October 12, 2012 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Cyrus talked about her guest role and the kiss with Jones. In a contemporaneous account, Enstarz reported her saying that prop staff asked whether she had her ring on. Cyrus then described it as feeling weird to take off the ring and make out with Jones. The wording was reported by Enstarz, not established as a verified, word-for-word broadcast transcript. Enstarz’s October 15, 2012 report gives the fuller account.

Us Weekly’s October 14, 2012 coverage also described the moment, summarizing Cyrus as saying it felt “creepy” and “a little weird at first.” That, too, is an outlet’s account of the interview rather than a verified full transcript.
Why did the scene feel awkward?
The ring made an on-screen kiss feel unusual for Cyrus. The prop staff’s question prompted her to remove it before the scene, and she described that step as weird. The reported explanation is about the practical and personal awkwardness of taking off her engagement ring to kiss a co-star.

Who were Cyrus and Jones playing?
Cyrus appeared as Missi, described in contemporaneous coverage as a love interest for Jones’s character, Jake. Her role was part of a multi-episode guest storyline on Two and a Half Men. The anecdote concerns their kiss scene within that storyline; it does not establish a disagreement between the actors or a negative view of Jones.

Although the headline wording can sound as if Cyrus called her whole experience alongside Jones weird, the reported comment was narrower: she was talking about removing her engagement ring before kissing him for the scene. The available accounts do not support a broader conclusion about their working relationship or private reactions.
