Those details are Banks’s reported account, not an independently confirmed finding about OnlyFans’ rules or Gan’s response.
Why did Lucy Banks say she was quitting OnlyFans?
PerthNow reported on 31 August 2023 that Banks planned to leave the platform after her account was queued for deletion. Banks said the issue followed her sale of a Snapchat code. She said OnlyFans support had earlier confirmed she could do so, and that Gan told her to appeal after the account was deleted. The report presents these points as Banks’s statements; it does not independently establish what support told her, how the relevant rule applied, or Gan’s version of the exchange. PerthNow’s 31 August 2023 report did not include a response from Gan to the specific allegation.

Banks framed her departure as a broader complaint about adult creators’ treatment. As quoted by PerthNow, she said: “They love the revenue we bring them, but they’re constantly trying to distance themselves from us. I’m out.” She also described creators as “cash cows.” These are Banks’s characterizations, not independently measured assessments of the company’s revenue or support.
What did Banks say happened with Amrapali Gan?
Banks said she felt Gan dismissed her concerns and that adult creators did not receive adequate support. The available reporting does not establish that Gan ignored her or confirm the details of their interaction. It is therefore more accurate to describe this as Banks’s account of an upsetting experience than as a verified finding about the CEO’s conduct.

How does that compare with OnlyFans’ public position?
In a TIME interview published on 31 July 2022, more than a year before Banks’s reported dispute, Gan described OnlyFans as inclusive and supportive of creators, including adult creators. She said: “We’re a unique organization, because we are the most inclusive platform, allowing a range of creators, including adult creators, to have a safe place to share our content.” That general description does not address Banks’s account or settle what happened in her case.
TIME also reported Gan’s statements that the platform kept 20% of creator revenue and that more than 80% of its over 1,000 employees were primarily dedicated to content moderation and support at that time. What happened to Lucy Banks after OnlyFans?
In a follow-up dated 8 March 2024, PerthNow reported that Banks had closed her OnlyFans account after about five years as a creator and co-founded Million Billion Media, described as a PR and talent agency for adult-entertainment workers. The report establishes this later development, but not that the 2023 account dispute alone caused her career change. PerthNow’s March 2024 follow-up does not establish the agency’s current client availability or any referral program.

PerthNow reported Banks’s claim that she had earned more than $1 million over four years. Another PerthNow report, published on 2 August 2023, also covered her claim of earning more than $1 million since beginning her online career four years earlier. These are reports of Banks’s personal earnings claim, not audited figures. PerthNow’s 31 August earnings report and its 2 August report concern the same person and do not provide independent financial verification.
