The podcast segment concerned a listener’s account, not an independently established account of events; Sabri’s reported confirmation that the engagement had ended is a separate part of the story.
What happened
PerthNow and Tyla both reported on 23 November 2023 that Sabri’s engagement had ended. Their reports connected the public speculation to an episode of a podcast published on 8 November. Neither report establishes a wedding date or the precise date the engagement ended.
What the podcast account alleged
Tyla summarized the podcast segment as a listener’s account involving a newly engaged man who met a woman during a stag trip in Croatia and later encountered her elsewhere. That is an account attributed to a podcast listener and relayed by Tyla; it should not be treated as independently verified detail about Sabri’s relationship.
What Sabri said
PerthNow quoted Sabri as saying: “It’s heartbreaking to confirm this is true, and discovering it in this way has been devastating.” Tyla also reported that Sabri said the engagement had ended and asked for space before addressing the situation further. The quoted wording is reproduced in PerthNow’s report, rather than linked here to an original post.
