The Judgment Day split from Finn Bálor on the March 9, 2026, episode of WWE RAW, but reactions cited afterward pointed in different directions: some viewers wanted Bálor to get a singles run, while others wanted the faction itself to end. The examples came from selected social-media posts, not a representative poll, so they cannot show which view was more common.
What happened to Finn Bálor on RAW?
In The Sportster report, syndicated by Yardbarker and updated March 10, Bálor started the confrontation by turning on Dominik Mysterio during an argument. JD McDonagh appeared to intervene, then joined the attack; Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez also sided with Mysterio. The report describes a group assault involving a ring-bell hammer, a chair and a frog splash, after which Bálor was out of The Judgment Day. These were scripted events in WWE’s storyline.
The report places the turn after Bálor’s babyface promos and an escalating conflict with Mysterio. It also says Bálor joined The Judgment Day in June 2022 and was its longest-serving member at the time of the turn. Those details are the report’s account and characterization.
Why are reactions divided about Bálor leaving Judgment Day?
The cited posts reflect different preferences, not a measurable split among WWE viewers.

Some wanted the faction to end
Some commenters argued that The Judgment Day had changed so much through membership shifts that the group should be dissolved. Their reaction was about the faction’s future, not just Bálor’s place in it.
Others welcomed a Bálor singles run
Other posts welcomed Bálor leaving, anticipated a solo run or a return of “The Demon,” or said they were interested to see where the story went. One fan expressed both affection for Bálor’s role in the group and interest in Dominik’s part in the storyline.

What reason did JD McDonagh give for the betrayal?
In the in-story explanation reproduced by The Sportster/Yardbarker, McDonagh accused Bálor of lying, developing an ego and trying to become the leader. McDonagh framed the attack as defending The Judgment Day’s family bond:

“You lied to all of us for months. You got an ego. You wanted to be the leader. You played games. That’s never been what the Judgment Day has been about. You used to know that. Judgment Day is my family and if anybody dares to try to step on any of them, you get stomped out.”
This is McDonagh’s character’s stated rationale for the scripted turn, as reproduced in the report; it is not evidence of real-world motives.

What happened in the Bálor–Mysterio feud afterward?
WWE’s official WrestleMania Sunday results later billed Bálor against his “former friend” Mysterio and recorded a Street Fight win for “The Demon” Bálor. That confirms the result of their later match in WWE’s account; it does not establish what happened to The Judgment Day after WrestleMania.
