If a Phillies game appears to be playing in Spanish on your screen today, the mismatch is between the label and the schedule, not between the language and the league. Spanish-language postseason coverage is an official option, so the language choice is intentional. What you need to confirm is which game and which feed you are actually watching.
What the official schedule shows for October 8, 2026
The official MLB postseason schedule for October 8, 2026 lists ALDS games and no Phillies matchup. A guide, app, or channel banner that says “Phillies” for that date is therefore not matching the official schedule. The schedule is the reference point for the date and the teams. If a listing’s date or status differs from what you see here, check the live schedule rather than relying on a cached guide.
Why Spanish-language baseball can appear during the postseason
MLB’s broadcast announcement dated September 29, 2026 states: “The ALDS will be available in Spanish on UniMas, while Univision’s TUDN Radio will provide Spanish language audio coverage of the ALDS and NLDS.” That sentence sets out two separate Spanish-language routes for postseason games:

The practical consequence is that a Spanish-language screen during the postseason can come from an official source. It does not, on its own, confirm that a particular game is the one you expected. Spanish audio on a series named above is a broadcast choice; it is separate from the matchup on the schedule.
How to check what you are actually watching
Work through these four items in order. Each one narrows the cause.

- Date. Confirm the calendar date on the official schedule. A game listed late in the evening in one time zone can carry a different date elsewhere, so check the date in the time zone your guide uses.
- Matchup. Compare the two teams named on the schedule with the teams on your screen. For October 8, 2026, the official schedule shows ALDS games and no Phillies game.
- Channel or service. Note the network, streaming service, or radio station. A Spanish-language television feed for an ALDS game would come from UniMás under the announcement above. Spanish radio audio for ALDS or NLDS games would come from TUDN Radio.
- Audio track. Many streams offer more than one audio track. The track you hear determines the language, even when the video is the same game.
If the listing still says Phillies
When the label and the schedule disagree, the usual explanations are ordinary ones rather than a broadcast error:
- The guide or app is showing a different date, a stale listing, or an earlier schedule.
- The title on screen belongs to a different game, a replay, or a studio show that carries the team’s name.
- The channel you are on is airing a Spanish-language game from another matchup on the same day.
None of the sources consulted establishes that any specific provider made a mistake, so avoid assuming one. Matching the date, matchup, channel, and audio track against the official schedule will identify which situation applies.

Switching the audio back to English
The available sources do not identify your streaming service, cable provider, or device, so they cannot give the exact menu path for changing a stream’s language. Language settings are labelled differently across platforms, and some services set the language per channel rather than per game. The reliable approach is to open the player’s audio or language options during playback and select the English track if one is offered. If no English track appears, the channel is probably broadcasting only the Spanish feed for that game, and the setting cannot change it. For steps specific to your platform, use that provider’s current help documentation.

Once you have confirmed the game’s date and matchup, the remaining question is only which audio track your platform provides for that channel.
