Epic did not give a reason or a return date in its statement. Claims that complaints about the sped-up audio prompted the removal remain unconfirmed.
Which Sabrina Carpenter emote was removed?
The removed item was Caffeinated, a Fortnite Emote tied to Carpenter’s “Espresso.” Esports.gg reported that it entered the Item Shop rotation on October 16, 2024, and was removed the following day, after about 19 hours of availability (esports.gg’s October 2024 report).
Why did Fortnite remove Caffeinated?
Epic did not state why it removed the emote. Fortnite Status wrote: “We’ve temporarily removed the Caffeinated Emote from the Item Shop, and will provide more info on when it will return.” The statement, reproduced in the esports.gg report, described the removal as temporary but did not explain the decision or give a date.
Esports.gg reported that some players criticized the sped-up audio and discussed it as a possible reason. That is community speculation, not a cause confirmed by Epic.
