Why Does YouTube Live Stop Playing My Real Estate Tour Playlist?

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

First identify what is stopping: the viewer-side playlist, a video that stalls partway through, or the live broadcast itself. If playback stops after the last tour clip, turn on the playlist’s Loop control. If the live event ends, check whether the encoder or other source stopped sending video and review the broadcast’s auto-stop setting. A mid-clip stall calls for ordinary YouTube playback troubleshooting. These are separate problems with different fixes.

Does the playlist stop, or does the live broadcast end?

“YouTube Live” can mean watching YouTube while a live session is open, or broadcasting a feed made from prerecorded tour clips. Start by noting exactly what disappears and when.

  • The playlist reaches its final clip and stops or leaves the playlist: Check playlist looping.
  • A clip stalls before it finishes: Check playback, device, and network conditions.
  • The live event itself ends: Check the incoming video source and the broadcast’s lifecycle settings.

YouTube’s playlist repeat control and the live broadcast lifecycle are distinct. A setting that repeats a viewer’s playlist does not, by itself, keep an incoming live broadcast running.

If playback stops at the end of the playlist

Turn on Loop

YouTube provides a Loop control for repeating a playlist. The steps vary by playback device; use YouTube’s instructions for computer or mobile, or for a TV or game console: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

If you have embedded the playlist in a custom player, check its configuration too. The YouTube IFrame Player API says playlist looping is off by default; when enabled, the player returns to the first item after the last one. See the YouTube IFrame Player API Reference.

If the live broadcast ends

Confirm the source is still sending video

For an encoder-based broadcast, check that the encoder or production source is still sending video to the live stream bound to the broadcast. YouTube documents that a broadcast with auto-stop enabled can end around one minute after the channel owner stops sending video to that bound stream. That documented timing makes a stopped source worth checking; it does not prove that auto-stop caused a particular interruption. See LiveBroadcasts and Life of a Broadcast.

Inspect the broadcast controls

Check the broadcast’s auto-stop setting and confirm that the correct source is connected to the correct live stream. YouTube’s live streaming guide describes supported ways to start a broadcast. If you use an encoder or production workflow, investigate its connection and output when the live event ends; do not treat the viewer playlist’s Loop control as a fix for a broadcast that has stopped receiving video.

If a tour clip stalls before it finishes

A mid-video stall is a playback problem unless the live event itself has also ended. YouTube recommends isolating the connection and device, restarting or updating the app or browser, clearing the cache where applicable, and manually adjusting playback quality when available. Try another internet connection or a supported device to see whether the problem follows the video or stays with one setup. Follow YouTube’s streaming and video troubleshooting steps.

What Live Redirect does—and does not do

Live Redirect can send viewers to a Premiere after a live stream ends. YouTube’s guide says the stream must end before the Premiere begins, so this feature is not documented as a way to keep a live broadcast running through an arbitrary playlist. See Set up Live Redirect in the Live Control Room.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is to keep prerecorded real estate tours playing as a 24/7 YouTube live stream, rather than diagnose ordinary playlist playback, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos and playlists from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; the uploaded video streams at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. This is for uploaded video, not a camera feed. Start your free first day with StreamNeo.
