Dave Portnoy said he ended his relationship with Silvana Mojica because he worried he could not give her what she deserved and believed they might want different things. Mojica described the split as grieving a three-year relationship and losing her best friend. Those are their public accounts; the reporting does not establish cheating as a cause.
What Dave Portnoy said about the breakup
Portnoy discussed the split on BFFs episode 155. He said the breakup followed an organic conversation in which he felt they might want different things. He described the decision as his and said, “Without going into too detail, I just didn’t think I could give Sylvana kind of what she deserves.” The transcript spells Mojica’s name “Sylvana” in that passage.
Portnoy also said that work can damage his relationships because he gets wrapped up in it. He said he still loved Mojica, was concerned about her, and hoped people would follow and support her. These comments explain how he described his own concerns; they do not independently establish the private dynamics of the relationship.
What Silvana Mojica said after the split
In a TikTok quoted by Just Jared, Mojica said, “Actually, I’m just grieving because I was dating this person for three years, and he was my best friend.” Just Jared also reported that she described crying through the first day after the breakup.
