Daisy left before Joey made his final choice; he later proposed to Kelsey.

At the beach, Daisy told Joey, “The thing is, you’re not going to choose me.” She said she had realized he was not her person and that leaving was what she needed to do for herself, according to Reality TV World.
Why Daisy described watching it as “validating”
Daisy later explained that she first began to suspect Joey might choose Kelsey when she saw the two of them look at each other at the Final 3 rose ceremony. She tried to put the thought aside, but said she felt anxious on her final date. A moment involving stones in a fire crystallized her impression that Joey could not picture a future with her. Cosmopolitan reported her account of those moments.

Looking back at the aired footage, Daisy said, “It was honestly—it was really great for me to watch because it was kind of validating in fact that, like, I knew it and I saw it.” In context, “validating” meant that watching the episode reinforced her own intuition about their connection and the likely outcome.

Daisy’s comment is a retrospective account of her experience as a finalist. It explains why she felt the finale confirmed what she had picked up during filming; it does not establish what Joey privately thought at every point or independently prove how he felt before making his choice. The important distinction is between Daisy’s in-the-moment impression and her later interpretation of the broadcast.

That distinction also clarifies why the finale could feel “gut-wrenching” while still being validating for Daisy: the footage revisited a painful decision, but, in her view, also made sense of the signs she believed she had noticed.
